Description ...and apparently I took two discarted bookshelves to build a guest room, put in a blanket to create an impression of comfiness and made some tea to create an impression of hospitality.
As I had no requests or trades to do, I decided to set drawing a thing I had in mind for some time by now. This is simply a picture of my top ten appreciation to artists on DevinatART who not only they astound me eigher with themes of their works, or sheerly with their artistic skills, or of deadly combos of both, they also for some weird reason or another pay a good deal of attention to me, too. If they didn´t, I would happily result to bootlicking in their case. They beat me in arts anyway, so I would take it for a pretty realistic prospect.
Some more artists could make this list. I am thinking *Faelourn and ~TigerHawkmon should have a spot there. I clearly neglected ~TigerHawkmon there, while *Faelourn is missing because of the little huggermugger I have in her charecters I could use... Luckily for me, I know of something I could try to make it up to her and also to ~TigerHawkmon later on.
This picture also showed me that an input ~Velvian had is actually true and I should do well to follow it next time for the better of my art... and everybody.

Let´s see in neat alphabetical order what makes these artists so awesome:

*BubbleWolf - I can argue *BubbleWolf is one of the greatest artists around and I back that opinion with his four Daily Deviations. Strangely enough, although I would expect dozens of tributes to >his Lancelot character< to be around, I only know of >one< by *Faelourn .

*CheshireSmile - Incredibly versatile artist with pretty much any drawing medium and deep realistic-surrealistic themes. Also, she drew something small for me how many times? Thrice? Four? ..., as well as dedicating >one whole werewolf< to me... I need to draw her something more meaningful with her >Cheshire< to try to make it up to her.

~Dawkz - There is a few of digital artists I know. One of them is the best, but I could never put my money where my mouth is by naming one of them. ~Dawkz might just as well take the cake.

*GoldenDruid - *GoldenDruid has included me >in something similar< so I am happy to repay her her kindness this way a little bit, though she is the sort of great talented artist who shares her opinion and who would make the list anyway. The only thing I would point out missing in her perfection is that she doesn´t upload as often as I would love to.

=Inku-inku - =Inku-inku struck me with the first picture of her I saw - As a little boy I had childrens´ books with illustrations close to her own style. That might have been a passage for devotion towards her works for me, but anything eerily dreamy that puts me back in my child days done with a master hand is good in my book.

~KalahariFox - Interesting case this ~KalahariFox . I can picture discussions over what his artistic legacy might be, but with fine projects done and many even finer ones to come I have something to look forward to. Not to forget to mention his comments - He takes his time with his.

*Nigerfur - I´ve been complaining to *Nigerfur of not posting much. Not enough for me, that´s to say. The reason why she made the list is her skills, of course, but mainly because her works hit a soft spot I have. I drew her a picture before and it was awful and I plan to correct it again in the future.

~SavageClyde - I did let out I have something little for ~SavageClyde . This is it. There will be more.
My relationship with ~SavageClyde goes way back to chance stumbling over her works and sticking to her. Unlike many, she focuses sheerly on traditional art and meaning in original style. I haven´t exchanged as many pictures as with her with anybody else. Need to note - ~SavageClyde draws a lot rectangular shapes, which I know from collage girls are not often seen doing... That makes it all the more fascinating to me.

~shadowwolf - ~shadowwolf falls within the group of people who excel in digital arts over my traditional so well they form an entirely different high league. Surprisingly then, she enjoys my works and even saw one of them get my second Daily Deviation. Even if that didn´t turn out back then, I would still draw her for her support... But the ecstasy is still there.

~T0PF0X - Some of my best friends in my life I made by beating each other bad first. ~T0PF0X is that case, as we got to know each other in my strongest-impression DeviantART community project I ever took part at - A tournament I did not win, but I would not beat any of the two other finalists anyway. I wonder when he gets working on his >Bane Squadron< more into detail or any other work that would reveal some more workings of his world.

All those pictured / mentioned above will get a picture of their own one day.

More tributes to come:
Tribute to durability
Tribute to frequency
Tribute to eloquence
Tribute to impact

Placing of the characters does not reflect my porsonal preferences... Thought *BubbleWolf clearly had to take the middle... I guess that makes everybody else his armcandy.

What a surprise... And what a counter-attack to my silly journal! This is so wonderful, I never would have expected you to draw my character! You pulled it off wonderfully - and I'm not sure who the black/white dog is, but it is so apropos that you have me petting the non-anthro This is so lovely and I am grateful to be included in such a tribute. Thank you so much!

Oh, the dog is another person´s included character, *CheshireSmile ´s one. I am glad you like it, but I feel your Shadow is not done as well as all the rest of characters came out - Not done as finely as the other ones, not to netion squashed against a corner. ... Well, another time another try and that time I hope I will do her justice.

Woo, so many characters there, well done with the whole compostition, it's not easy to draw many characters in one place and make it all fit!
I just love their expressions, warm colors and atmosphere, and how you did theri outfits ^^

I'm such a loser to have missed a piece like this, I'm really sorry my dear friend :3 Thank you very much for including me, it's an honor .. especially because we know each other so little (we should work on that though!)
I still think your picture was beautiful and I demand the original to have on my wall.

I cant believe i haven;t seen this!! i totally just stared at this for about 28 minutes, just taking in every tiny detail. i really love bubblewolf's character in the middle, the pose is just so grand and charming. Anyone who has been featured here surely feels the same amount of elation, and flattery to be placed among such a fine looking crowd. Everybrush stoke just waves me through into the next every time, i suppose i like your style so much because it reminds me of Gogh, and of the ocean, i feel like im seeing the reflection of your artistic impressions, on the waves of paint.

I am glad you like the picture! It´s not too much of an appearance for little Cheshire, being such a small character, but this picture could hardly do without some character of yours to be represented there. A time will come for some of your character to fit the whole format for themselves... It´ll have to work my imagination to snapping point to get close to your rich imaginary at that point.

I'm at a loss of words for both; how great this is, and how flattered and honored i am to even be mentioned here.

Your flagship impressionistic style has always been one of my favorites; and i still to this day love how you handle both volume and attitude with such strokes... To see my character represented in it with such great talent, and surrounded by such great artists depicted, has truly made my day (and i dare say; blush a little.)

Thank you!

Yay! Glad you like it so much! This picture is not really such a big deal, though. Just a project you have to share with nine others, but I felt it was needed to be done. After all, where would I be without my idols and supporters? The big deal would come the day I would finish a picture of Hunho alone, and since I plan to draw pictures of at least some of those depicted up there, that might just be exactly what will happen.

PS: Hunho might be pretty much be best dressed character there - By chance his T-shirt has some pretty odd light-reflective properties.

The expressions in this are amazing! Your style just gets more and more refined, and is so intricate to look at. And your ability to use colors is just unbearably good! Loving those pink cloth especially. What a great tribute!

Thank you! I dare say there is a shift in quality of my works thanks to a few guys who mentioned my style would look better if drawn in finer strokes. I did not and still don´t like the idea, but it seems to work out.

I think it looks amazing...but what really matters is what you, the artist thinks and feels about it!

My heart did a flitter-flip when I saw this! Thank you I was not expecting something so nice. You captured Golden perfectly. I had no idea that I qualified for the 'awesomeness' category I'm so flattered!
Comment wise, I can never think of what to say, but Rados, you always have something meaningful to write down. How do you do it?! Now that is a real talent. Also, you should know that every time I see "Golden needs to upload more art!" That makes me want to draw immediately Now I'm off to DRAAAAW!

RadosBadger In reply to GoldenDruid [2012-03-14 21:29:15 +0000 UTC]

Strange - I know you didn´t see this coming- ...I did mean it as a surprise after all... -but knowing your own artistic qualities and keeping our relations good, seeing some form of a present from gratitude should at the end be logical to you, hardly a surprise. Believe me I didn´t end here. I happen to have just the right orange (made in socialism - very rare) and yellow that pretty much get to Golden´s mail colour when put together, and I am planning to use them that way. I wish you will except it that way, and after all you also drew me >this< which I wish to try to repay you.

...As for my comments, I think you have my parents to thank as they brought me up to get well along with people and get to heart of things... Going out dealing with people is made pretty easy for me.

Aaaaahhhh, so this is the beautiful amazing unexpected (but slyly hinted at) gifty! THIS is what I get for just posting to DA and running-- I miss the treasures in my inbox. Rados! You have seriously outdone yourself with this. You feature so many characters, but not at the sacrifice of the detail and care with which you render everyone. I am truly chuffed to see my Sawbones in such a group-- and you've painted her as stylish as always. Sometimes I forget how sharp she can be, and then you come along with all your awesome skills and remind me

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RadosBadger In reply to SavageClyde [2012-03-14 09:11:24 +0000 UTC]

I am so glad you like it, even though it´s not a gift strictly meant for you as you might have imagined when I let out about it. In case you have, I haven´t drawn something :devSevageClyde:-themed for the last time and there will be time to fix it in the future. ... And I actually don´t remember Sawbones ever wear something she would not look great with. My theory is she could compete with Pseudo in modeling (before her horribly disfiguring accident) if only she were the type for the work... She only came dressed like this from hanging out with her anyway.

Art feeding into itself, great artistic presences overlapping and inspiring one another. If I were a cheaper man, I could have made an Inception reference from that, but this does really remind of something I was saying to a friend of mine the other day; what with DA and so many other sites on the internet dedicated to the distribution an collection of art, we are essentially in a new renaissance era, but with creators multiplying into the 1000s, and the barriers of excellency being always stretched. What joy it bring me to see such an excellent artist demonstrate these values so well!
As for the piece; a triumph! Each character has just enough detail and expression in their pose to make them seem real, the colours are vibrant and pretty, the anatomy is almost without flaw, save for the small black one in the bottom right, he seems something of a lump, but this could be to do with his plainer colour. You combine excellent detail with beautiful stylisation, and this is shown so well here. I get the feeling you really enjoyed this piece. ^^

I might have enjoyed drawing this picture, but not as much as I enjoy your comments. This one of yours was a presentable piece of its own. Must also again appreciate you speaking your mind about things you don´t like - I don´t know whether I am so threatenning to everybody or all the others so polite not to tell me about things they think I could improve. Well, as long as I have you, I have a way to get over my past wrongs.

CatFaceBunyyAwesome In reply to RadosBadger [2012-03-08 20:12:50 +0000 UTC]

It is hard to get over being polite in order to criticize! Really, it's hard for little flaws to ruin a piece and people don't want to feel nit-picky, but thank you for your appreciation!

KalahariFox [2012-03-08 16:48:02 +0000 UTC]

I need to find the right exclamation for moments like these. This is remarkable and such a surprise! I think 'undeservedly honored' is the phrase that described my reaction! You did a great job with Kalahari and made him look very natural in the scene. Quite outside my own inclusion in the picture, there are some artists sitting around in the makeshift guestroom who I wasn't familiar with before, so I thank you for introducing me to them in this unique way!

The painting itself is so well composed for such a complicated scene; all the subjects manage to fill different vertical spaces in addition to horizontal placement, but you can still see plenty of the background (which looks very comfy and hospitable actually!) No one looks strikingly out of place either, which is a peril for many artists when drawing multiple, multiple characters of different species and body forms.

My only solid complaint is that there is a very gifted and modest artist who hasn't been represented *points a stubby fox claw at you*

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RadosBadger In reply to KalahariFox [2012-03-08 17:31:16 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! I am not so sure the picture is as well composed as you describe, as I was running out of space by the time I was sketching the seventh guy, but all´s well that ends well. Being that said by you is pretty encouraging as I will need to put together a much bigger bunch of characters in another project of mine, where I will also deal with making them put in-place and also with my modest self-representation. ... But really, holding out one artist and place myself into top ten of my most favourite artists would be just too bold.

You made me realize I wasn't subscribed to your 'scraps'! Now that the situation is corrected, I'm kind of blown away by your badger sketch--what are the dimensions of that picture?! It's an ambitious project, but the results should be quite amazing I've never seen so many badgers in one place.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RadosBadger In reply to KalahariFox [2012-03-12 09:37:41 +0000 UTC]

Strangely enough, this lead me to find out I wasn´t watching your scraps either. It´s fixed now.
No-one has ever seen that many badgers in one place. It´s a regular A3 format and there is forty-two badgers in it... I didn´t keep the count on how many of them there is and was honestly surprised with the number I eventually got. So you see, putting ten characters in one place wasn´t without its difficulties, but quite doable compared to that.
