[EDIT] I'd like to point out that the only Final Fantasy games I had played at the time of this drawing are the ones with the four main characters here. XD So I do know that there are other FF heroes out there that AREN'T blonde, I just chose to use these four in particular because they were the only ones I had ever actually played the games for. [END EDIT]Not sure if this one will fly, but I'll try it anyway!
Anyone other than me ever notice that Squall's the only main hero of Final Fantasy that has brown hair? XD I mean... everyone else is BLONDE. O_O So, I couldn't help but make a joke out of it. Everone loves a good blonde joke, right?
Though whether or not this one is good is questionable... >_>I actually heard somewhere that supposedly brunettes are smarter because they have some mineral in their hair that blondes don't, or something like that.
Not that I believe it, but it spawned the idea for this little strip. And then I read on a t-shirt before, "Blondes have more fun". AND THEN I thought, "Well, aside from Cloud, it's true, I guess o.o" So..... >_> Vaan's theory is disproven about blondes having more fun. Squall thinks he's sooo damn smart.>_> I don't even know if all that made any sense... my mind works in very weird ways sometimes.
Uh, sooo.... this was drawn about a full year ago.
Sorry for making everyone look like a goober. >_> Vaan's outfit is too insanely detailed for something as half-assed as this, so I cut out pretty much all of the detail. ....

Am I the only who has noticed that three pieces of concept art for VIII show Squall and Rinoa as blondes? One of them shows all six wherein Irvine and Selphie still have brown hair, but Zell's hair seems to be white.

I really love this and laughed at Squall being all 'yeah I'm smarter'. Overall Cloud and Tidus both have terrible stories as far as their games are concerned, I mean Cloud do I really even need to explain what went wrong there? But I mean Tidus found out he wasn't real, and that his father was sin a planet wide mass killer, that his lover was going to sacrifice herself, and everyone thought he was crazy and sick because of sin. And then he had to fade away and you know not all sunshine and roses for him either, he might be more positive than Cloud but being either one would really suck.

Japanese people always har black hair, hence they found blonde hair the gaijins had as something special, hence when making a special main character they want to give it blond hair.
It's a similar thing to the red and blue colors rivalling, hence so many main characters have red (or red-ish) outfits, mainly jackets, and have a rival who dresses in blue (or blue-ish) - Dante/Vergil, Alucard/Alexander Andersson, Goku/Vegeta, etc.
And anyways, you should really polish up on your FFs, Bartz/Butz from FFV also had brown hair, and hell, if you'd consider Terra from FFVI to be the main chara (as some people assume, though technically FFVI like FFI, does not have the one "main" character), then she has green hair (was turned to blonde in Dissidia, but that game did make up a lot of shit on it's own...)

Pity Warrior of Light,Firion and Locke aren't in this-they have the same Aryan syndrome about them as well!Squall at least would have been in good company if Bartz were with him.
PS:Anyone wondering about the Aryan thing,it basically just means blue eyes and blond hair.

Cloud doesn't look like he has any fun during the adventure. He's almost always has a '-_-' expression throughout the whole game.

Tidus is a fun-loving guy, but his life was basically hell. He was neglected by his dad, his dad disappeared when he was seven, his mum died shortly afterwards, ten years later his hometown gets destroyed by Sin, he then gets sent 1000 years into the future, gets captured and is forced to excavate an airship, ends up on Besaid after Sin's attack, nobody but Yuna believes in his Zanarkand, falls in love with Yuna, finds out his dad is Sin, finds out Yuna's gonna die, watched Seymour kiss Yuna, is branded a traitor, finds out his whole life and existence was literally a dream after ALL the promises he made, and probably died with a ton of regrets.
Yeeeeeaaahhh.....I wouldn't really call that 'fun' in my opinion. >.>

There's most of FF1's classes that have non-blonde hair, Firion (FF2) has grey hair, FF3's Luneth has grey hair too, FF4's Cecil too, FF5's Bartz is brunette, FF6's Terra (Who's a girl) has green hair.

Doesn't Bartz/Butz technically have brown hair too? haha but I also noticed that when I played Dissidia. All of the heroes have either white or blonde hair xD

Fighter had red hair, in the NES, but was later updated to blonde for GBA, and again to grey in Dissidia.
Firion had brown hair, that turned to grey in remakes.
Onion Knights were given different hair depending on their job, but none seem to be blonde; in the DS remake, one is blonde, but the "lead" is grey-haired.
Cecil has white hair in all games,
Ditto Bartz for brown.
Terra had blonde hair, but it was changed to green for the NA release. I'm not sure of the colour in the JP game; the boxart shows her blonde, but a screencap on the back of the box shows it green.
Cloud, already shown, is blonde.
Squall, brunette,
Zidane was blonde,
Same for Tidus,
And Vaan.
It's odd, I always thought that the leads were mainly blonde as well, but it's about 5/11 that actually are. 4 if Terra was green in the JP version of 6.
