Description Around the Mid-War period, the Imperial Kelinian Army quickly realized they needed to modernize to win the war.  Steel helmets were introduced to protect the wearer from shrapnel flying in the air during artillery bombardments.  Gas masks and pouches were also introduced as the deadly affects of chemical warfare took its toll.  For the most part, the gear carried, rifles, and trousers remained the same.  The Armeeuniform Muster 1915 replaced the previous design, as it was designed to be as easy to produce during the wartime conditions.  It covered the brass buttons with a flap of cloth, and removed the red line and two buttons on the cuffs.

During the year of 1916, a mutiny occurred in the Imperial Mainland, which caused a split in the units garrisoned at the Imperial Capital.  To easily identify soldiers loyal to the emperor, an armband of the Imperial Colors was created for loyalist forces.  Thankfully for the Empire of Kelinia, the few revolting units either surrendered to Imperial Forces or were executed for treason.  Even after this event, the loyalist soldiers sent to the frontlines kept their armbands on as a showcase of their loyalty to the Empire of Kelinia.  Only a few other units adopted this addition to their uniforms, as some soldiers had some connection to their homelands, but still pledged loyalty to the Empire of Kelinia.  The Great War would end in 1918 with the signing of the Treaty of Bordones.  The Empire of Kelinia, the Kingdom of Athaso, and other Fera Pakto nations would emerge as victors.  Many lessons were learned from the conflict, and the hope for a lasting peace would materialize, as postwar prosperity boomed.
