Description
When the provinces began to split from the Empire, the Imperial Government started to crack down on these movements. This started with curfews and checkpoints to limit the movement of possible rebels and insurgents. When this proved ineffective, patrols by local law enforcement and military units conducted searches on locations that were perceived threats to the Empire of Kelinia. Protests against these unlawful actions sprung up. Protests turned into riots, riots turned to rebellions. The Internal Security Ministry pushed the Imperial Government to declare martial law, plunging the Empire into a further downward spiral. Fighting in the streets would be common during this time, as anarchists, communists, fascists, and government forces clashed with one another for control. In Kelinia, Atren, and Northern Idmania, order would be reestablished, but the state of martial law would continue until the closing days of the war.

The IKAN Gendarmerie would usually be seen in the M13 frag suit with added elbow and kneepads. Magazine pouches could be universally switched around with the Type 42 BAPS. NCOs would utilize the KFM-15 SMG or the DA-33 Assault Rifle, with the standard gendarmerie would only use the DA-33. The older M43 Stahlhelm would be replaced by M84 stahlhelm that could be modified to any situation. These units would see action putting down the riots in the capital city, and the other large population centers, as well in the rural areas of insurgent activity.

The design was inspired by the loadouts produced by one of my favorite youtubers, Oxide. Two of his loadouts I combined into one to create the design for the IKAN Gendarmerie.
