When the news about the humanitarian crisis unfolding across the crumbling empire, the international community was divided. Even though it was their mission to help stop or prevent these crises, there were those who wanted to benefit from this conflict. The members on the security council argued away on what to do. By 2058, a peacekeeping force finally was sent to the region, but only to what remained of the Empire of Kelinia. The peacekeepers saw first hand at the war violence and chaos committed by the factions. Eventually a group of Athasoan peacekeepers would find themselves under siege in the town of Nereen, engaged by the anarchists and mercenaries. The battle would leave the 1,000 unit with only 657 left to be taken prisoner. By the end of the conflict, various peacekeeping units would engage in combat with militias and insurgents. Once the civil war concluded, a smaller force was kept there to oversee rebuilding, but even still the corruption of the UN would lead to the withdrawal of all peacekeeping forces.

The UN peacekeeper was armed with their native country's weaponry and were usually soldiers who volunteered. This peacekeeper shown is from the Kingdom of Athaso. Their uniform is the Type 83 BDU in digital camouflage, and body armor with UN insignia. The magazine pouches are of Athasoan origin, that can hold two 30 round magazines. The beret has the unit's crest on it, and has UN coloration on it. Helmets were also used, but varied between each nation, with either steel or Kevlar being the standard. The weapon is the OLS-98A bullpup assault rifle, with carrying handle attached.

Note: It's just a coincidence that the United Nations in Tales of Dominion is the same ours.
