the black on white makes for a simplistic yet striking approche. the way you utilized the shadows under his noes and lips really helps to add definition to his face while the thin line running down his nose really helps to reinforce the shape of it.
while the eye may be a relitivly small feature, the thick eyebrow prevents it from being overwhelmed by the blodness of the other features. the cross hatchig on the neck really helps to bering the face fowards while it's really well framed by the hair and top. tis a shame though that you didn't manage to block in all of his top sicne that would have increased the contrast between that and the face, making it all the more striking. the effect you've created with the hair adds a veriaty to the textures in the peice.
