The Petrovich Sisters give their perspectives on the other family members
Tessia:
On Ivana -- She's always been the more adventurous of us probably because she's also the shortest. Yen always made her feel like she was stupid, but Ivana is far from it. She's more perceptive than either me or Yen and thinks far more quickly on her feet as well. She has a knack for making decisions on less than perfect information, and somehow she's always right. I'll trust her intuitive instincts over my intellectual analysis any day. It's no surprise she was a leader and survivor of the war. I doubt I'd have made it through that hell like she did.
On Galen -- Like Ivana, he's experienced making decisions based on imperfect information. I can't tell you who is better at it, but when they put their heads together they're unstoppable. I can't think of a better fit for her than this man.
On Rebecca -- I sort of know what she truly is, though in my heart she'll always be my niece. And so much energy from such a small person. Very petite at only five feet tall, yet she can be as intimidating as a football linebacker when she wants to be. Thankfully it takes a lot to get her that mad.
On Jennifer -- She's the smartest of us in regards to her IQ, but Yen's also the most naive of us. Her nose was always in the books studying anything and everything she could. She was also very hard on Ivana growing up, and I think a lot of it was because she felt as the oldest she was supposed to be our protector if Mom or Dad weren't around, but Ivana's adventurous streak meant she didn't need Yen's protection. It was often the reverse which our father noticed when we were very young. In a lot of ways, I think Yen was jealous of Ana because of that.
Ivana:
On Tessia -- Tessia is now what I used to be before the war. Flirting with every guys she meets, sleeping with about a third of them, and loves to party. She was the one who told me about our parents' proclivity for threesomes with some of Mom's friends. "Wallace women have enjoyed threesomes for generations. It's what we do," she claimed Mom said. I know Tessia has them with my sister-in-law from time to time, I've had a few, I know Yen has had a couple, and I wouldn't be surprised if my daughter has done it at least once or twice. In fact, I'm pretty sure Tessia knows more family secrets from Mom than either Yen or myself. Come to think of it, the more I ponder on this the more I'm coming to realize that she's just like Mom. Son-of-a...
On Galen -- For years I couldn't decide if I loved him or hated him, but I now know I couldn't have survived without him. There's nobody I trust more than him, and he compliments me in ways no other person has in my entire life. Sometimes we still have our arguments and disagreements, but deep down those only make our bond stronger. Our sex life? I'll keep that to myself.
On Rebecca -- As long as I live she'll always be my little girl no matter the circumstances of her youth and duality with the Serpent of Time. She's so much like I was at that age. I even dug up one of my modeling pictures, and except for her height she looks just like me.
On Jennifer -- If anyone irritated me more growing up, it was Yen. I love my sister, don't get me wrong, but I hated the way she treated me during high school. Treating me like I was an idiot while flaunting her high IQ at me all of the time. It's because of her I couldn't wait to get out of the house and on my own. I joined the academy and traveled to Golath Prime because of her. When I first heard Earth was destroyed, I was devastated. Surprisingly, she was the first one I thought of and cried the most over. I remember the first time I rode a bicycle and wrecked it. I scraped my knee, and who was the first one there to pick me up? It was Yen. That bond was always there, so when we reunited I devoted myself to mending those old wounds between us. It was a struggle at times, but I'm happy to say we're as close now as we were when I fell off that bike.
Jennifer:
On Tessia -- She's the youngest of us and the most spoiled. She takes after our mother refusing to focus solely on her work. She likes to party and flirt with men which is how Mama was before she met Papa. When she's working, she dedicated to the project, but when the job is over there's no holding her back from spending a night on the town. I could never do that myself, but sometimes I wish I could. I don't worry about that now since I met Rick.
On Ivana -- Where Tessia was like Mama, and I was more studious like Papa, Ana was like none of us. As we got into our teenage years, she began to really come into her own. Smart, athletic, independent, strong willed, and adored by all the boys in our school. She was the prettiest of us though she didn't act like she knew it. I was the oldest so thought I was suppose to be the protector, but just so happens the smallest of us was also the strongest in mind, body, and spirit. I was so jealous of her that I took out my frustrations on her. I was wrong, and fortunately we were able to be reunited and come closer as sisters. These days I look to her for advice and guidance since she's experienced more and accomplished more than I could have imagined.
On Galen -- I'm glad he's with Ivana because they 're so good together. I don't think she even realizes it, and I won't tell her, but when we were little girls talking about the perfect guys...she described him almost to a T. I'm so happy they found each other.
On Rebecca -- I won't even attempt to understand her condition because every time I try I end up running in circles with paradoxes and quantum theories sending me into a tailspin. It's better I just accept that she's my niece and ignore the other part of her existence. She knows more about space and time than any scientist could dream possible. And she's not even realized her full potential.

This little exercise with the Petrovich Sisters was inspired by dellcartoons character writing study
Writing Tip #17Building on Writing tip #02: Description, here's one trick you can do to help your characters be differentiated, and not have any character too candied or spinachedHave each character describe the other characters. As I've said, describing someone can say as much about the describer as the described. If your character describes everyone the same way, that suggests that your character might be overly-focused, which might or might not be what you want. If all your characters describe a character the same way, then your own interpretation might be coloring the characters' description, which is not what you want. And you can have a lot of fun when character A feels one way about character B and B feels a completely different way about A As an example: Sneakstress:Glass Gorilla is useful in a variety of situations. And to my surprise, something like a friendShine... confuses me. She has an innocence. She is like a younger sister, except that I do not have that relationship with any of my actual sisters. She's a younger sister I can trustLa Prisa is a typical human, with all that that entailsCaptain Olympus is an arrogant fool, though I admit that at times he's almost as good as he thinks he is. And he is useful to have on your side in a fight Shine:Sneakstress is the big sister I never hadGlass Gorilla is a great guy! I don't think he'd agree, but he's a lovable lug!La Prisa is also my big sister. I admire how she's made it through what she went throughCaptain Olympus... well, I guess he has a lot of responsibility, what with being chosen by the Gods and all. I just wish he'd let us help him with that responsibility Glass Gorilla:Sneakstress is a longtime hero, and I admire her for that. But in some way I cannot completely trust her. And she has a certain arrogance, though she hides it wellShine is a lot of fun. Somehow when I'm around her I feel... almost human, if you willLa Prisa is a great person. But she seems a little uncomfortable around me, for some reasonCaptain Olympus would be a pain in my butt, if my butt could feel painLa Prisa:Sneakstress is way too serious, not at all lighthearted and playful like I think an elf should be. I know it's not fair to judge her by what I thought elves were when I was growing up, but still... Aside from that she's all rightShine is like a little sister. Maybe too much like a little sisterGlass Gorilla... I don't know about Glass Gorilla. I mean, it seems like a good person, but it's basically a robot. It doesn't have a soul. So who knows what it might do?Captain Olympus... all that "Greek Gods" stuff is heretical, though I'd never say that to his face. And since I lost my legs, it's like he doesn't even want to be around me Captain Olympus:Sneakstress has a damned high opinion of herself. She leads the team when she knows I should be in chargeShine loves me. I know I can count on herGlass Gorilla might be a construct, but it's a damn good one. Nobody else I'd rather have on my sideLa Prisa... La Prisa... Well, she used to be the model of physical perfection, but now...You can develop both characters quite a bit by knowing how one sees the otherEDIT: This began the #CircleViewLitJam
