Description
My first render playing with an underwater environment. This could be the beginning of a story some day, but for now just a very cool scene that came out better than I anticipated.Related content

This does look really good, better than I could ever do.
One minor thing though I've noticed with other people who do underwater work. A little depth of field goes a long way to making things underwater look wavy / distorted.
However, since I can't achieve any of this, I'll let you consider the source. LOL

Yeah, DoF helps a lot. I put my f-stop on the steps of the wreckage so the rover would be slightly blurred in the foreground of the DoF. It definitely helps to create that solid feeling of the scene instead of just open air.

Did this take longer to render than a regular scene?

It actually did because there is a hazing pane to give it that watery vibe. It's like a firefly filter but with the kind you want to have in the scene.
