Story: When Ivana as Star encountered Etyssa in the time bubble, she didn't know she was six weeks pregnant at the time. The temporal distortions mutated the child in her womb, and within two weeks after her return home Ivana gave birth at full term to their daughter Rebecca. However, the mystery didn't stop there. In a month the girl was two years old, in four months five years old, and by six months she was twelve. However, the child's maturity and mental awareness was still that of an infant. Only Etyssa knew what was happening, and took the girl to commune with the Serpent of Time. When the parents next saw their child, she was sixteen with the equivilent maturity and mental awareness.

You see, unknown to Ivana and Galen, Rebecca was displacing time subconsciously. The rapid aging was caused by her actually stopping time. While they experienced no lapse, she aged at a normal rate. During the first month, Rebecca was actually aging at a normal rate while for her time stood still. Etyssa recognized the time distortions and acted by teaching Rebecca how to consciously control her power. By the guidance of the Atlantean and the Serpent of Time, Rebecca began to grow into herself as she explored other realities and timelines. She learned about science, technology, history, religion, art, music, and more importantly the secret of her parent's past.

For a month she took her parents with her to visit the Serpent of Time so they could see what she was and what was happening to her. To show them she loved them, and to make up for the lost time they missed during her childhood. This latter point struck her parents hard because they missed those times to actually be parents to her. She actually apologized to them because she felt it was her fault they spent her childhood apart, it was her abilities which caused them to miss out on changing diapers, sending her to school, teaching her as all other parents do with their children. This month in the world lasted for three years in their perception as she kept them in her realm.

During this time as the family grew closer, Ivana and Galen imparted upon Rebecca all their training and knowledge which the young woman soaked up like a sponge. Now back in normal time and reality, Rebecca possess all the military training of her mother, the espionage skills of her father, and the intellectual prowess to control time taught to her by Etyssa. Today she is the heir to the Petrovich Management Group empire as she attends university. A college student by day and heroine at night fighting crime. The network her mother built was not for her benefit, but for her daughter. The friends of her mother are now hers as well. She is Starlight, the ray of hope given by the Star.

Oddly, two others know of Rebecca. Two others who communed with Etyssa on a high mountain summit with the Serpent of Time. Two others who have known this day would come. Sorceress and Crimson Enchantress knew that one day the one who controlled time would emerge to aid them when needed.

I thought it would be fun to introduce Rebecca into the Star universe, and since time and alternate realities are how they got here from the Relics universe it seemed fitting Rebecca's power would be to control time. The encounter with Etyssa in the temporal bubble was the perfect way to create her powers.
