To me, "doodling" is drawing for the fun of it without any sort of end composition or subject in mind. It's just drawing for the fun of drawing, where I don't have to worry about matching to a style or getting all the details of someone's character just right or making sure the aspect ratio is right so we can print it at the correct size. To me, doodling is more about how you draw than the end result.
I think I understand what you were trying to imply and I take it as a compliment.

It was a compliment, and hopefully you don't take your art so seriously as often as I feel you do. Yes, sometimes it's important to get things right, but in all honesty, art is art. Don't make it, be it.

Recently I have been hearing some artists saying stuff like "every time I see good art I feel bad about my own art and want to quit." I'm not trying to say my art is great or whatever, but when I hear people say stuff like "you call this a doodle?!" it makes me worry. I don't want anyone to feel discouraged on my account. Sometimes it is difficult to interpret people's meanings on the internet and I wasn't sure where your comment was coming from, so I wanted to clarify on the off chance it was not actually the compliment you meant it as. But now that that's all cleared up there's nothing to worry about!

I can believe this is just doodle. Doodles tend to be messy, while this is so full of details and action. It's like seeing a movie, which has the hero fight a beast as they spiral down a deep chasm as they both fight for the other's demis.Β

Yeah, I was really stressed out and sad! But I think both of those characters represent myself, so maybe it's less of a murder and more like... internal conflict? Being at war with myself? Maybe that sounds silly, but that's what I was feeling at the time.
