That simple combo of a dynamic character and the implied background based on that one little rectangular frame...that's the kind of thing I wish I could come up with on a regular basis. It all seems so simple in retrospect, but when I sit down and look at my blank sheet of paper wondering what I should draw, this kind of thing never comes to me. I gotta learn how to think simple.
I'm really impressed by the composition and the coloring job. Good work!

Hey, you should consider re-uploading this as a PNG--you'll preserve the transparency and the thumbnail will look better. Barring that, try filling your background with #D6DED4 in whatever digital color program you use--it's the background color for deviantART and will make your image look like it has a transparent BG.

The thumbnail looks a little wonky (probably cause it's a .gif), but the full size looks cool.
