Description
Another desk toy MOC! Slotbot was made with the express purpose of using the Glatorian Life Counters and was inspired by casino slot machines. The handle is connected to three Bohrok eyes that fit into the notches of the Life Counters, so it actually works as a slot machine! Demo video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHrW2hβ¦A friend of mine pointed out that Slotbot looks very similar to the Yugioh card Slot Machine , but this was completely unintentional! In fact I'm undecided as to what Slotbot does - is it a droid? A game? What happens when when it gets three skulls? Suggestions are welcome!

I would buy this for my dad, who has worked in casinos most of his life and as such loves slot machines.

I like how almost everything these days relate to Yu-Gi-Oh. I play the game and I see a lot of stuff here on DA remind of at least one card I either see in games or own.Β

Could be a test your luck slot-bot maybe? Like maybe it influences the users luck by getting three of the same numbers in a row or in ascending order, like 1, 2, 3, etc. while three skulls is bad luck?

When you get three skulls it probably goes into a frenzy until another roll is made.

This is incredible! The function works beautifully, and I love how simple it is. Perhaps when someone gets three skulls, the robot goes berserk and destroys them by launching out coins at incredibly fast speeds, slicing through the gambling addict like butter.

I like that suggestion! I'd wanted some kind of attack from the robot, and that sounds very feasible (especially because I decided to have a hand on its right rather than a gun or anything...)

I'm glad you chose a hand instead of a gun, as gun-hands are one of those things that have become over done, not necessarily in the MOCing community, but just in general.

Yeah, I played around with a couple of hand designs, and this one won out because of the smooth line from the elbow to the wrist. The 'thumb' is on the wrong side of the hand (being on the outside rather than the inside) but it's a robot so I thought it could be permitted

Its basically just the wrist and lower arm fused together because of the hands size and weight.

That is a fantastic use of those old Glatorian Life Counters! The MOC overall has a really nice look to it as well.
This actually kind of reminds me of that one mech Eggman has as one of the final bosses in Shadow the Hedgehog.

Ooh, that looks interesting - so in this case, the hero would have to get skulls in order to damage Slotbot from the inside!
