→ Although Woojin may come off as aloof, quiet, critical, uninterested, and stoic, he is honestly really confident and super dorky. Right off the bat, once you start talking to him, you'll find that he's a really easy going and friendly fellow. He has a lot of confidence in him, mainly because he grew up with the mindset that he can be anything he wants to be so long he puts his mind to it; besides his father's disapproval of his dreams, he was always saturated in positive thinking, which developed his overly optimistic attitude. Woojin isn't afraid to put himself out there, no matter how stupid or ridiculous the task is; he genuinely does actions for pure enjoyment. Due to the lack of a motherly figure in his life, he picked up motherly mannerisms from watching other mothers and kids playing the park; in turn, he may come off as motherly towards you once he gets to know you.
Background:
→ Han Woo Jin and his twin brother ( fav.me/d5lqc4y ) were born in Korea with two loving parents, however at the age of nine, the twins were separated because of their parents' divorce. Woo Jin stayed with his father in Korea, having no contact with his twin brother and mother since. With the lack of a warm motherly figure, Woo Jin grew up with his cold father who was hardly ever home due to work.
Spending many of his days alone, Woo Jin would watch tv and came to admire the many k-pop idols and k-music groups of the age. Secretly, he did little performances in the living room when no one was around, imagining himself on stage, singing and dancing for a lively crowd. The idea appealed to him so much in middle school that he searched for a high school that could lead him to that exact path for his life. The high school he found was Saotome Academy in Japan. Confronting his father with the idea was a frightening event in his life as he hardly talked with his father about anything; his father was clearly against the idea of him moving to Japan. Even after several weeks of Woo Jin asking and proving himself old and mature enough to be on his own, his father denied his pleads.
Finally, when school ended, his father gave him a choice: stay in Korea and study, taking over his father's job, or go to Japan, to that school of pointless dreams, and have no home to go back to. Woo Jin was set on his dreams, having no intention to stick around and be like his father, and flew to Japan by the aid of distant relatives in Japan.
It has been two months since he's been in Japan as he had come in a bit early to adapt, however, his Japanese is next to poor, while his Korean and English are superb. He no longer is in contact with his father; instead, he keeps in contact with his distant cousin and her grandfather who is providing for him.
