So I had a terrible idea after the last episode.

What if Belos uses the golden guards as repository bodies? Like a magic parasite, or a Marvel symbiote. He creates grimwalkers, train the best ones, the best of the best become the golden guard and once Belos previous body is to broken he just jumps to the next one!

Since all grimwalkers are made based on his brother body, they will always be contemptible. He can train and brainwash them in such a way then when the time comes they won't even fight him taking over!

So meet the Emperor guard! Once Belos transfers himself, the body starts to reshape itself to it's new master. And in a few weeks he has a new body mirroring his last one! Just younger and less decayed.

Some Coven heads may get suspicious but, guards die all the time in line of duty. So he could probably make it look like a freak accident. And having a small contingency of Golden guards as his personal and exclusive force would make obtaining any information on their training and anything else really difficult.
