Had this finished a while ago but didn't post it for some reason.ΒAlso not sure why I haven't drawn the Tantibus before, it's quite literally a horse made of clouds! Also it's kind of bad ass.

this is my first critique ever so bear with me!
the background is phenomenal, i love that you gave the monster volume unlike in the series, and an evil face to help this painting give a story. the lightning and blending on this painting are beautiful and very pleasant to look at. this painting gives a very powerful vibe!
but luna is the issue here, her position is too boring, and needs more emotion. she's fighting a giant evil monster, and you forgot that she was very frustrated and tired because of all the magic she was using, and it was draining her. but to people who haven't watched the show, and for the sake of the painting, she could use more emotion. a little pit of perspective could work, the fact that she's in the corner just standing there takes out a lot of impact in the drawing.
the difference in painting techniques between luna and the actual monster is a little bit unnerving. she seems be more sharp than the monster and the background, a mistake that many people seem to do blaming it on the "focus of the drawing" but if luna's mane was a little bit more soft it would be perfect.
on the other hand, the actual technique used in this whole painting is magnificent. as i mentioned before, the background is amazing, but all of it; the colours and details, are simply mesmerising!
overall, a very well done and breathtaking painting that tells a wonderful story! keep up the great work!

Whoa! This is definitely one of the BEST pony artworks I've seen in a long while. The colors used here are absolutely AMAZING! The best part of all is Luna herself! I absolutely adore the way how she is presented here, especially the purple tint at the tips of her wings and the aperture diffraction coming off from her. Her mane and tail are also astoundingly drawn, as every strand of hair gives off some form of luminance! As for the background, I love how the flames are drawn, as well as their colors in a devastated ruin.
I really wish I could paint like you one day, but that takes tons of practice and work. In the meantime, I hope you like my gift for you, as I really love your works and am here to give you all my support! that's some nice stuff going on here. colors are nice composition really nice, but id suggest you work with the posings as they do appear to look stiff. also as you suggest we see the scene a little bit from below, id like to see more of the underside of the tentabus there^^ it appear to destroy the depth a little bit when drawn as if you look right at it when in fact its suggested its from below,
Lunas expression is very unclear too. and there again I want to see a hint of the underside of things just a hint. if your shading suggested she tilted her head a bit towards us then it would be fine having the head like that.
Stiff poses is what i can see something you have in a lot of your pieces, id suggest you try to work with that. also dont fake the perspective it will look fake, if you don't know fully what your doin. hope to see more epic stuff from you in the future..

I know this is really late, but I have to put my two cents in and say Simply Amazing, I cannot honestly think of another fandom that I've been a part of that has shown this huge of a range of art and music. The level of detail is simply astounding and the way you play with the light and the shadow really makes this work of art seem alive, although in the case of the Tantibus I'm not sure if that's a good thing

Beautiful work here.Β Really captures the Tantabus in a way the show couldn't - as an out-and-out Eldritch Abomination, on the edge of breaking into their universe.
If any pony would go head-to-head with an Eldritch horror, it's Luna - even if the one in question was one she cared for and fed herself.

I LIKE IT! That is all. Your matchstick shot brought me here, and then I saw this and went "Whoa! Nice!" I would have moved Luna's horn just a little higher up her head and lengthened it, tho. But that is a nitpicky comment that has no place here. Bad comment! Bad boy! All in all, your use of color here is stunning, and your use of special effects is jaw dropping. It certainly does the subject matter justice. Good job!
