Description Titanophoneus potens ("Potent titanic murderer") was a carnivorous Therapsid of the Dinocephalia group related to the Estemmenosuchidae but living 5 million years later than Estemmenosuchus uralensis and Estemmenosuchus mirabilis during the Late Permian. Remains of this animal have been found at Isheevo in Russia.
These very remains you can see here on this photo I have made in the Moscow Paleontological Museum.

It's a bit blurry photo (other than teeth), but it still looks good.

It was a carnivorous dino, it's all about the teeth!

Yes, I know that Titanophoneus was a dinocephalian type therapsid, and I like the photo you took abot its skull. Thanks for te upload!

You ar right it did have some fearsome teeth. Though I think some of its modern relatives like lions and tigers have quite dangerous sharp teeth too.

It's an artistic photo after all, not a documentary, so I think it's shallow DoF not really a problem but a benefit. That's what I wanted to picture.

Thanks for your kind words

It's not really huge, about the size of a cow or a horse, I'd say. I mean overall size, not just the skull

Thank you! I like how this picture turned out in the end. At first I've tried to capture as much as possible of the whole skeleton but that wouldn't quite show it's mighty and dangerous teeth which are the key here.

It's easy to imagine how they were tearing the flesh when animal was alive and hunting!

Sadly, the only thing we can do now is imagine. Even by scientific means.
