An hour ago, I was so troubled
My heart was thumping with fear and dread
You told me firmly I had no need to worry
Had you guessed that you might end up dead?

Of all the things that we faced in the past,
This was one of my biggest fears
Of losing you, and now that’s come true
And I can’t stop the rush of the tears.

You promised me of no consequences,
You told me this wasn’t the end
You put your arms round me and told me so surely
That you’d always be here as my friend.

Together, so secure and strong
When I feared for your safety, you said “Do not worry”
