Night Light x Twilight Velvet
A long married unicorn couple of the Canterlot Elite. They're a proud but loving couple that love their children to bits and pieces. Coming from an Elite family, they truly expected their children to grow up like them, simple Elites. However their eldest son went on to be one of the youngest Captains of the Royal Guard in history, then went on to marry Princess Cadence and become a Prince. Then their daughter became the Princess of Friendship after being selected to be one of Celestia's magic students which was already an honor. Their pride in their children is overwhelming and honestly they couldn't have wished for better. When Dusk Shine showed up, they welcomed the lost Prince with open hooves despite the oddity he represents. Because of how much their world exploded with their children, their views had to change vastly and rapidly and they still struggle with certain parts of their childrens' lives(namely Twilight's polyamorous herd relationship), but they try their hardest to be supportive.

Twilight x Sunburst
Twilight and Sunburst are a couple of ever changing convenience. Because of their busy schedules, there are periods where they rarely get to see each other. Sunburst spends a good portion of his time in the Crystal Empire while Twilight spends a lot of her time in Canterlot. They're very far apart and really the only time they get to spend is when they're both close to Ponyville. Even so, they love each other very very much and the older they get, the more time they get to spend together. The only bitter part of their relationship is their children, who were raised seperately and brought together only when they were adults. It wasn't the plan, but with Light Spark being an alicorn, he needed much more attention than Starfall, and Twilight simply didn't have the time to raised two children. Especially with one being an alicorn. Currently Twilight is trying to form a bond with her daughter because of the years she missed out.

Twilight x Luna
Because of the time Twilight spent away from Sunburst, and mostly alone besides her son, Light Spark, it's not a surprise that she sought the company of another like her. With Luna retiring and getting her fill of travelling Equestria, she returned to the Canterlot castle. She held no rule over the kingdom anymore, however she become one of Twilight's trusted advisors almost instantly. Their relationship was simply friendship in the beginning and began to grow with each late night visit Twilight would make to Luna's chambers. Being ex-Princess of the Moon, Luna is naturally a night owl, and apparently so is Twilight. Eventually their nightly visits grew from planning events and royal business to spending time reading together, and grew into a romance neither could really deny. For Twilight, it was amazing having someone she could be so close to, and while she still loved Sunburst, she also very much so loved Luna. It didn't take a genius to see the connection between the princesses, so they became romantically involved. Their relationship is lesser known, mostly kept within the walls of the castle and to the dark shadows of the night. But it's strong and powerful.

The relationship between Sunburst and Luna started off very basic. They were acquaintances at best in the beginning. All they knew was that they both loved the same princess, however the longer Twilight remained with them both, the closer they became. It became easy to like each other, and while their love for each other isn't the same as their seperate love for Twilight, it's a strong bond neither would give up. Their love falls closer to family than to lovers, but they both care very deeply about each other. And Twilight wouldn't have it any other way, she loves seeing the two ponies she loves so much in this world caring for each other.

Shining Armor x Cadence
What relationship is stronger than that of the Princess of Love and her dutiful husband? Very few. The bond between Cadence and Shining Armor is as strong today as it was the day they got married, possibly even stronger. Some would not assume so, considering they only ever had their one daughter, Flurry Heart. And some assume the love of a couple depends on the amount of children they have, but Cadence and Shining don't look at it that way. They poured all their love into each other and their daughter. And even when things got hard, and bad things happened, they stayed together and loved together. The rockiest patch was the appearance of Cicada, and the fear that came with her existence, but they're strong and dedicated. They can make it through.

Lies, lies, lies. Their child was produced on a basis of lies. Playing the part of Cadence, Chrysalis went with the flow, seduced Shining Armor to convince him that she was his soon-to-be wife. Pulled along a string of lies until she was found and cast out by the little Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends. Defeated by love. Carrying a child of fake love. Changlings used to work like a hive before their reformation, Queen Chrysalis could create eggs that would hatch into worker Changlings. Gender mattered not, for all Changlings were genderless prior to the reformation. They were only meant to exist, not to reproduce. But the child of fake love, she was not the same. She was a royal strain of Changling, a Queen Changling. She was carried as a pregnancy, not hatched from an egg, and born like a true pony would be. Chrysalis had never once planned to give over her crown, and her goal was to kill the child before she could open her eyes. But a strange feeling came through her, it felt like the love she stole from this child's father, but created within her. She did not kill the child, named her Cicada instead and raised her to be a Queen one day. Only thing is... Chrysalis was turned into stone with Tirek and Cozy Glow, leaving little Cicada on her own, desperate for someone to care for her. She knew the name and location of her father, a stallion she was never to care for, and started towards the Crystal Empire, desperate for love.

Before the Crystal Mirror was shattered, a couple ponies made their way into Equestria. One was Sunset Shimmer, determined to return home. The other was Prince Dusk Shine, the male replica of Princess Twilight Sparkle. His entrance into this Equestria was stressful, he was lost, confused. Every looked nearly the same, except the ponies he thought he knew were different than he remembered. Not much different, but enough. Enough to worry him. His first idea was to turn to Canterlot, speak with the Brother Princes who ruled over Equestria. But he got lost, and ended up getting directions from a mare named Moondancer. She looked familiar, like an old friend of his, but her attitude was astounding. She'd confused him for Twilight to begin with, before realizing he was most certainly not the Princess. With her help, Dusk Shine managed to make his way to Canterlot Castle for an audience with.. the.. Princes.. Princesses!? He told the Princesses, Celestia and Luna, that he came from another Equestria, because they'd never seen a male Alicorn before. For Dusk Shine, female alicorns were a rare find, the first had been his niece, Flurry Heart. When it became clear how he'd arrived, through the Crystal Mirror, the plan was to send him back. But as is common with the mirror, the moon cycles depend it's current view from the other side. Dusk Shine needed to wait a month. He could do that. He asked Moondancer, the mare who'd helped him, to continue helping him. Introduce him to ponies, help him explain. He'd love to meet this Princess Twilight, because if she was truly like him, she'd be just as interested in his story(she was indeed). A month came... and went. Dusk Shine missed the day back, he'd been spending it with Moondancer in the Canterlot library, studying and reading. Another month, two, three! By the fourth time, Dusk Shine no longer wished to return home. He'd found something here he'd never managed to find in his Equestria, someone who understood and loved him. Him and Moondancer married just months before the mirror was destroyed. The last time it was used was when Dusk Shine returned home to explain himself to his friends, his family, who were heartbroken but wished him well upon meeting his new wife, Moondancer, who'd visited with him. It took awhile for Dusk Shine to forgive himself for abandoning them forever, but the birth of their daughter was his tipping point. She needed him more than anyone else in this Equestria, and he'd made the right choice to stay and care for her.
