Personality, Quirks, Weaknesses and Character Growth

[ Tomboyish ] After a recent bounty hunter raid, Cheino tends to associate herself more with males then females. She is boisterous, loud and loves competition and dirt. This trait carries on from her old hyperactive trait, but this is more mallow.

[ Loving ] Cheino’s a lover, not a fighter. She takes her relations very seriously, and hates to see mistreatment or harm towards anyone. It’s for this reason that she somewhat regrets training as a gladiator instead of a healer, as she feels that she would be fully resolved and sure about what she is doing.

[ Valiant ] Cheino makes a determined effort not to show her true feelings. During the time after the bounty hunter raid, she suffers from depression, but her resolve not to disappoint her friends thoughts on her, she tries hard to be the happy, fun caracal she used to be. She is also valiant in her upcoming battles, refusing to let any more of her friends be hurt or captured while she is still moving.

[ Sassy ] This little caracal is known for her light-hearted and somewhat disrespectful remarks towards her higher ups and even friends. Throw an insult at her and she’ll swing right back with a crude slight. She quick-witted and smart, using her quick thinking to her advantage in this area.

[ Tolerant ] Cheino accepts other’s opinions and thoughts even if she doesn’t share them. She is willing to change her stand point on a subject if another sways her over(which isn’t always easy), and has no problem regarding those in different situations.

[ Quirk; Yawning when she’s not tired ] She just yawns...almost constantly. It’s not because she’s tired, or bored, she’ll just yawn for no reason.

[ Quirk; Feeling of being followed ] Cheino constantly checks behind her to see if someone is following her, and if someone is, even if she knows them, she will stand on her hind paws and ‘hug’ the closest tree. No one really knows why she does this, but she can’t stop it.

[ Weaknesses ] She will change her mind several times before making a full decision, and this always weakens her resolve. She never really wants to kill anyone, she just feels as though she has to.

Character Growth - Cheino was very naive as an apprentice, but as she grows she becomes more aware of her actions and feelings. She often doesn’t fight her best in training with others anymore, because she simply doesn’t want to fight anymore.

Brief History

Born into the house of a wealthy breeder, Cheino was raised as a family pet for she was thought of to be very expensive. For the first few weeks of her life she was spoilt and well cared for, but she began to grow, and the family didn’t want a grown cat.

After being kicked in the head numerous times, simply because she was in the way, she developed severe depression, living in fear of her owners and their children. Kicked in the head, whipped, and threatened to be stoned numerous times were simply the reason she left.

After a human cub left the door open, Cheino managed to escape without being noticed by her owners. After she overheard two older cats talking about the empires as though they were heaven, Cheino made her way to Lightning Empire in search of asylum.

Schooling and Battling

Armour & Items

Armour: A simple dark shoulder plate held in place by leather straps on her right shoulder. She also wears a red gem-ed collar.

Items: Cheino has a stone tooth necklace that is hidden from view and four earrings.

Training Experience, Mentors and Apprentices

Training Experience:
-- Extensive Attack Maneuvers: Trained majorly in attack, Cheino has developed many skills and techniques to use against attackers. However, she doesn’t tend to remember these when she is fighting and plays it by ear.

-- Basic Defense: Cheino knows little about defending herself, but tends to use ‘offense is the best defense’ as the basis.

-- Proficient Hunting Techniques: This little caracal knows how to use her speed and agility to her ability, hunting being her best ‘subject’. She is quite capable of bringing back a decent prey load of small animals, and is capable of bringing down a deer with a hunting party.

Current Mentor: / Alkaios
Cheino thinks of Alkaios more like a father than a mentor, having the support and training she needs to become a skilled and respected gladiator. She loves training under Alkaios, even though he’s not around a lot.
