EDIT/ March 21, 2013: Updated his art with a new style that my hand is vomiting. Added some recent scars + *le gasp* he aged. (22 moons -> 25 moons)

Name: Batkit -> Batpaw -> Batgaze
Age: 25 Moons
Gender: Tomcat
Breed: Bombay x Singapura mix
Appearance:
An overall black tomcat of medium stature with a white patch on the left side of his face and one on his left foreleg as well. His right forepaw is white to the base of the digits. His eyes are pirate gold and are part of the reason for the suffix of his name.

Batgaze adopted the role of being a strong brother for his younger sisters at an early age and it morphed into something more. As he aged he started to realize this change in attitude, but he did nothing about it since he saw nothing wrong with a little pride in oneself.
:: Devoted ::
His very existence has been based on family and clan loyalty. Batgaze therefore acts a little clingy sometimes and it just takes a reminder for him to go away when he is a bother.
:: Courageous ::
Batgaze likes to think that he is able to stand up to things by himself, but he will accept help graciously. A good whack on the nose is usually enough to snap him out of whatever daydream he is having when he thinks that he is stronger than reality.

History:

Batkit was born in the early glimpse of Leaf-fall with two sisters to Coalfire and Snowdrift, two capable warriors of Ragged Clan. At a young age he started blooming alongside Leafkit and Rainkit and he stepped up the role of the brother that protected his sisters from the smallest falling leaf. Their father would visit often after a patrol to tell them a clean version of what happened; he promised them that when they were apprentices that he would tell them more details and the juicy tidbits. Batkit and Rainkit were well off just listening to any story, but Leafkit was getting impatient with waiting for the ceremony that the three had waited for since they had begun listening to the patrol stories. Batkit knew of his sister’s detest towards the waiting and he tried to encourage her that in time they would be proud warriors of Ragged Clan; that they would have their own story to write.
::The Day in Which He Dreamed When He Was Small::
Batkit and his sisters reached the age of six moons and they were apprenticed during the same ceremony to their assigned mentors. Batpaw was given to Thrushwing, a tan striking tomcat that could have spent more time on training than impressing the she-cats. Rainpaw went with Stonefur, a large gray tomcat that upon first impression seemed like a silent cat that kept to himself. Sunpelt, a golden coated she-cat, was assigned to mentor Leafpaw. After the naming ceremony the three saw less and less of each other aside from when it was time to sleep. Stories were cut short by training sessions and opportunities to check the borders for other clan scents. Batpaw and Thrushwing learned to get along and balance out each other’s personality. Batpaw would try his best to impress other cats and Thrushwing held up the other end by trying to be devoted to his promises. The young tomcat yearned for his sisters’ attention every day and so when he had the chance to see them he would be rather difficult to remove. At first Batpaw was hurt by Rainpaw and Leafpaw’s ignoring, but Thrushwing assured him that when they were warriors they would be more relaxed and open to talking; they were just focusing on training a little too much at the moment.
::Reunion::
Their names sounded through the clan on the evening of their ceremony. Batgaze, Rainwhisker, and Leafnose were accepted into the ranks of Ragged Clan. They later sat vigil with one another and if one was feeling fatigued the others would encourage them to stay awake. Batgaze enjoyed the quiet time with his siblings since he hadn’t seen them much for moons though his heart fell a little when he noticed that they had changed. Rainwhisker was more confident in her abilities and she talked little if at all. Batgaze worried for some time though he was relieved that Leafnose had dropped her hotheadedness or at least it seemed like it.
The three preferred to take on patrols as a team and would often complain about being separated, Batgaze being the main ringleader in those cases. The more that they hunted and trained together the more they learned from each other. This learning is what will continue to happen in further adventures…

"Rainfall," a brown tom spoke from his place atop a small cliff that shot out from a rock formation. He peered down into the fronds with concerned amber eyes.
A light gray cat popped her head from under the foliage to acknowledge her clanmate's worry. "I'm okay. I'm trying to stay low enough so that they don't see me coming," she replied in a hush tone though she grew agitated by the rabbits' lazy composure. Rainfall knew that she shouldn't jump at the chance for easy prey because that's why it looked like a trap. It was too easy.
