No, it's Carolyn. Caroline is pronounced as it looks, care-oh-line. In the game, they pronounce it Care-oh-lin which is spelled Carolyn. So yes, Valve spelled it wrong. Two different names, two different spellings.

It doesn't matter if it's not pronounced how that spelling usually is. It's still spelled Caroline. That is what they named her. People pronounce their own names different from the usual all the time, are you going to tell them their names are spelled wrong too, just because they're pronouncing them differently?

I just never understood why valve had to spell it Caroline and pronounce it Carolyn, Caroline is an overused name and there's no way that I would have gotten the pronunciation of Carolyn from that spelling.Β
just spelling it Carolyn would have made way more sense for valve to do.
