This reminds me of the time I tried to draw the entire plot of Raptor Red as a comic (but my art has changed so much since then that I'm unlikely to ever share it publicly).

Peculiar why Bakker choose Troodon for the small theropods who sled with the raptors at the end of the book.

He probably chose some indeterminate troodonts due to their intelligence compared to other dinosaurs; if any were playful it was definitely the troodonts (most dinosaurs probably were to some degree though).

I just wish he called them Troodonts instead of TrooDON. A pretty big anachronism if you take it the way I do. But yes I do wish there were more reconstructions of dinosaurs engaging in some sort of play.
