His cause of death was bronchial pneumonia which he got thanks to his low immunity which was caused by AIDS. As a matter of fact most people with AIDS don't die from AIDS itself, but due to other illnesses they got, because AIDS lowers the immune system and thus makes it easier for you to become ill, which is what happend to Freddie. AIDS caused the illness that killed him, but it wasn't the actual cause of death, that was bronchial pneumonia.

One doesn't die of HIV/AIDS. What happens is that your immune system gets killed off by the virus. That action in itself DOES NOT kill someone. But it does make them vulnerable to any other diseases or problems that would have otherwise been much easier for the body to have dealt with had it still had an immune system.

Nice concept, but I'll say what I think a hundred people must've already said about this: he died of AIDS, didn't have cancer, and dying is spelled dying. It's easy to change. Hell, *I* could probably change it in less than ten minutes and it's not even my file. If you just take a short amount of time, it'd save you from all these comments just like this one.
