Why? There's so much "spread the love about wolves" etc, and I DO LOVE WOLVES, but heck, wolves AREN'T GODS. During centuries humans have seen wolves as bad creatures, but it doesn't mean wolves were bad themselves, but now, trying to make them look like peaceful and friendly creatures is even getting worse .___.
Wolves are like every other animal: they can be friendly with their family, maybe with their pups and mate, or with their pack, but they are also violent, they can be dangerous to humans, or do you really think if you find a wild wolf in a forest and you try to touch him he wouldn't try to attack you? (Ok, maybe not, maybe he first tries to escape, but if he feels there's no escape, he sure will fight you back).

As I said above, I love wolves, but I love them as the animals they are, not the animals some people want them to be.
So, I can't understand why people say wolves are underrated, if they are everywhere! Wanna see underrated animals? Sharks, Hyenas, Wild African Dogs, Vultures, Bats, Crocodiles, Hyppos, Bearded Vultures... There's a bunch of them: amazing creatures without a big fanbase, or even with no fanbase at all.

Sharks are a good example: since the film "Jaws" was released, a lot of people (me inluded) have feared these fishes for being "human-killers", but, in fact, we humans kill more sharks that shark eats humans. Calling an animal "human-killer" is really stupid, since all the carnivore animals can kill a human if they are hunger enough, or too old to hunt their common meal. And sharks are no exceptions.

So, here I draw a chibi shark, or at least I tried. Sharks can be as cute as any other animal, just like puppies or kitties, but of course, just because you draw them cute, it doesn't mean these animals would stop being dangerous and really powerful, so they should be respected and even a bit feared.
I think sharks need more love, as they're are incredibly creatures, and one of the most primitive and less evolved of our planet, which means they have been capable of surviving without many changes during centuries.

Sorry if I offended anyone, I didn't mean to sound harsh or rude, but that's how I see things: not all animals are goodies or baddies, they all have good things and bad things, and we should try to protect and respect them. Do you really think your favourite animals is underrated? Just check how many pictures (no photos, or photo-manipulations) are here on dA, and pics of invented creatures based on them, on their form, their life style, etc... Then you will find out.

If you liked this, try to draw a shark!
It doesn't have to be a realistic one, nor a cute, chibi shark, jut draw them as you want.
