Description Walking around the financial district of the city can have interesting results. Small alleys, court yards and other elusive places give way to grand views of glass steel in the surreal.

Great subject, great perspective, wonderful light and warm colours. I love the image framing and the central building framed by the others. Beautiful and dream world.

If you look up Philadelphia your probably see a "normal" picture of this same building.
It's called Liberty One.

Exactly. Boring.
So whats the weather like in Stockholm.
Is it good enough to visit?

It's sunny and nice but unusually cold for the season, so you tend to want to run out for outdoor activities but end up stopping dead in the door because it's too cold. I really long for real summer now...

Still chilli huh.
Well hopefully soon it will warm up.
Here it's already started to warm up. Bright sunny and warm.

Yeah I hope so, it's like the sun don't "bite". I still won't take off my jacket

Maybe June will be warmer?
What time is the sun rising and setting over there?
Really early and really late?

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Hera-of-Stockholm In reply to RAlexanderTrejo [2008-05-30 20:42:33 +0000 UTC]

That's the good part, it rises at 4 and sets at 9 this time of year so you get those endless nights out on the town when you don't feel like going home, but like sitting around drinking beer and chatting with friend almost until bed time.

RAlexanderTrejo In reply to Hera-of-Stockholm [2008-06-02 20:33:13 +0000 UTC]

Thats what I haven't seen in Stockholm yet.
When I went it was in November and there wasn't that much sun time.
It was 3:30 in the afternoon and I'm like "where the heck did the sun go?"
Then my friend Henrick told me thats just the way it is when we get closer to winter time.

Hera-of-Stockholm In reply to RAlexanderTrejo [2008-06-04 18:44:54 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I know, it's awful. And I know immigrants who come here and they get scared by the phenomena, they think either they or this place is cursed.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

RAlexanderTrejo In reply to Hera-of-Stockholm [2008-06-06 15:14:44 +0000 UTC]

Really? Funny stuff.
I don't think your hometown is cursed.
Actually it's really cool.
I find myself talking to people about Sweden here all the time.
About the sun, about fika, about how fashionable people dress.
I would like to go back.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Hera-of-Stockholm In reply to RAlexanderTrejo [2008-06-06 22:33:35 +0000 UTC]

Glad to hear taht you like my country! It's kind of cool that people are talking about it - and not only in music-related terms. Most of the time when I say I'm from Sweden peopel keep namedropping one band or another and ask about my opinion of them And sometimes there are bands I've never heard about

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

RAlexanderTrejo In reply to Hera-of-Stockholm [2008-06-10 10:57:33 +0000 UTC]

Name dropping band names-(Tiger Lou)-yeah I don't know why people do that.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Hera-of-Stockholm In reply to RAlexanderTrejo [2008-06-10 19:01:59 +0000 UTC]

Prorbably because they want some opinion or another and when the reaction is just it must be kind of pointless. Unless they don't do it to show off of course Nor that I get that either, after all I have a rather eclectic taste, but I know a lot of industrial electronica band that are quite indie/obscure/underground or whatever they call themself today. I just listen

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

RAlexanderTrejo In reply to Hera-of-Stockholm [2008-06-10 19:18:00 +0000 UTC]

Really? That sounds like an interesting mix.
Anyone you could recomend to me?

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Hera-of-Stockholm In reply to RAlexanderTrejo [2008-06-12 18:31:22 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, bands like Colony 5, Ven Bravo, Covenant, Mesh, Faith Assembley, Sista mannen pĆ„ Jorden, Kleerup, Godlike, System, New Modern Angels... You'll find a lot of them here. [link] They charge like a ā‚¬ per track and a bit less if you get a whole album. And you can listen before you buy.
You can also find a lot of Swedish underground here if you're interesting in checking it out.

lilatrejophoto [2008-05-19 13:31:46 +0000 UTC]

it's pretty trippy the way the buildings and the light are playing off each other--the eye spends a while trying to decipher 'what am i seeing?'. me likes.

i think this is my favorite composite of yours yet. it's big and dramatic and yet there's a quietness to it.
