This picture is a reworking of an alternative sketch for the Dragon's Lair:
The figures and Dragon were changed around, and I employed a different lighting scheme. The shafts of light help silhouette the Dragon's head and shine a spotlight on the main figure to create a focal point. Additionally 'spokes' of branches, spears, treasure, etc, guide our eye to the central action.

Both Dragon's Lair paintings are great, and I really like the activity in this one. The way you punctured the gloomy light with bright patches really adds to the composition.

This one is definitely an improvement. Something about the other, was more exciting as a thumbnail than fullview. This one much easier to get drawn in.

The knight is going to be impaled in the chest; the boy is going to be crushed by treasure; the girl is going to be ripped apart; the Spanish-conquistador-looking one at the back is going to be burnt to a crisp.

I like it. The colors look natural to me and there's some creative use of lighting. It's a nice take on a dragon's lair, it's something else then just another dark cave.
