but do you find it easier to do illustrations with oils or acrylics ?
or is it that acrylics allow you to work on smaller sized surfaces ?

They both have their benefits - oils can do fine detail too. I guess acrylics have a robustness, and flexibilty, whilst oils have the blending and soft edges.
