The Amazing SpiderMan 16" X 11"

I have always loved comic books and superhero characters. I have been collecting them for at least 45 years (yes, I am that old). I had a ton of first edition marvel comics, until my mother threw them all away one day when I was at school. Ok, I was in high school, but it still didn't make it right. One of my favorites has always been SpiderMan. This medium was perfect for him, because it really shows off his musculature. I wanted this piece to reflect the comic book style so I painted in all the little shadows that were in the original artwork I was working from. Jun 2010
