Description
Was initially going to be an "obligatory bug horse valentine" picture.Ended up making it a lot more serious because there's nothing light-hearted about Queen Chrysalis.
Maybe I'll draw Princess Cadance for that purpose later.

Conquer does not need the 'o'. You're referring to the PROCESS of conquest, not the INDIVIDUAL leading the conquest.

I wanted to spend a bit more time on the background, but ended up forcing myself to keep it relatively simple and unfocused in order for Chrysalis to take the spotlight. Not sure if it worked out in the end, but I'm satisfied with the result!

I like it, personally I don't mind vague backgrounds, to bring out the things/characters on the foreground, besides it's done in good fashion, not just for the sake of itself
