While it's true that we should treat others as people and not like lesser beings just because they are different (because really, we're all different), that doesn't mean we should be forced to tolerate and accept everything OR ELSE. I'm really sick of this militant attitude that we have no right to disagree with certain things we think is wrong, and if we do, we're bigots and morons. I think that mindset is in and of itself, very bigoted, closed-minded and ignorant.The point of this stamp is about dealing with adversity - something that I feel more and more of today's youth seem to be unable to handle. The truth is, life brings adversity, no matter what. You WILL face it at some point. When we force "tolerance and acceptance of EVERYTHING" on kids, they grow up later being totally unequipped for real world trials. Things will not go their way and they'll have no idea how to deal with it. Instead of handling problems with maturity, and good character, they will whine and cry like an entitled, spoiled brat.
While it's true that we should teach kids it's wrong to bully (something we SHOULD have been doing for a long time now), kids also need to know how to have some skin and learn how to properly deal with life's trials, instead of crying "H8ER!!!!!!" and "GO DIE BIGOT!" type bullshit.

Indeed. I don't have to accept homosexuality nor agree it's natural. People just have an emotional-disorder that they refuse to get checked out because they believe they are fine, but they're only building themselves up with more hate and hurt. Like, stating an opinion shouldn't be harming anyone and you don't have a good enough reason as to why I should support it in the first place. The stamp is about the idea is that people can't argue an opinion because they will get accused of being a bigot. IMO Debating an opinion or subject is fine and you shouldn't have to accept other peoples beliefs. But I also think you shouldn't force your opinions on other or treat them as any less of a human being because of them. So in short, don't try and shut someone up because they disagree with you.

I sort of agree with this. Peace, acceptance, and tolerance should be taught, but to a limit. We shouldn't tolerate racism. So what? They have different colored skin, big deal. And there are so many other things I could say.

It is true that realism is always a factor over the ideal world because chances are the world will never be perfect. Though I think it still is important to explain the importance of tolerance and acceptance because it teaches a portion of critical thinking skills through why you and others would want that, which is by far the best skill anyone can have.
Realism of course takes over at times because the world is not perfect. So people do have to know how to deal with it. That can also be attributed to critical thinking skill because when you look at things logically, you'll see what needs to be done. Of course there are people who are too timid to do that even if they are critical thinkers, but that's a different subject entirely because that has more to do with personality more than thinking.
