Description What too many people fail to realize is we don't want to keep our guns because we like drinkin' beer and huntin' deer, it's because we want to be able to protect ourselves and our families. From anyone who means to do us harm, from our enemies, from criminals, from terrorists, and yes, from the nazis and the commies. Fresh venison is also a plus. xD

I heard that the 2nd Amendment was made as a contingency in case the government gets too powerful, or has too much power over the people.

This is awesome and the comments are even better! People always assume I am progun because I am a confederate redneck, I am from the deep south but am NOT a confederate and don't consider myself redneck (nothing against them though, 90% of my family are die hard rednecks lol), and that is not only offensive, but shows just how ignorant people can be. I would much rather want the choice to stop a possible threat against my friends and family then watch anyone suffer or die because I couldn't fight back. Even if there is gun control, there is still the deep web and black market. Gun control will just take guns away from the good guys, if bad people want guns, they'll find a way to get them illegally if they have to.

Funny how when people complain about us, they support Hillary who wants to not only get rid of guns but allow potential islamic terrorists into our country and without our guns, we can't stop them from raping and beating up women and murdering gays yet Hillary says she supports gays and is a feminist...

I understand not wanting us to carry it everywhere or leave it out in the open for kiddies to grab, but we SHOULD have them around, let it be locked in a cabinet or a safe or whatever.

Gun control is not to take away everyone's guns.

It's to avoid letting mentally stupid people get a hold guns easily without background.

I agree with FunnelVortex

What about ChicagoΒ it's basically impossible to gun there, but there was 762 murder there in 2016
Now in Texas (where I live) they basically give you a gun with a happy meal but the rate of crime there has been rising, but it is still low compare to Chicago

I do not think the second amendment should be abolished. HOWEVER, I think guns are sometimes too easy to get, and the types of guns and ammo people can have access too needs to be regulated.Β

What I am saying is: Guns are cool, and I support a person's right to own one. But I do not think it should be legal to have assault rifles and huge magazines of armor-piercing ammunition. And a person should undergo background and psychological checks, as well as a gun-responsibility class, before being able to own one.

This guy is NOT holding up.

Have you heard of the mass shootings in the U.S and other countries? They prove that guns are bad.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

dazombiekila In reply to sonicfighter [2015-01-02 23:18:48 +0000 UTC]

Actually, the only places in the U.S that have mass shootings are places where guns are not allowed. Like the one California not to long ago. You can't even own a BB gun in California, but that didn't the criminal from getting his gun and shooting up a neighborhood where people DON'T have guns. If people were allowed to own guns there the guy could have been stopped long before he killed that many people.

Gun's are not allowed in Canada, a policement who find you with a gun automatically arrest you, our laws about guns are strict and such no civilian are allowed to get in public with such weapons, if you legally owns one, well before stupid harper decided to destroy the gun register, you were registered, so if you got arrested or police would need to investigate your house, they knew what danger they were faceing.

Strangely, Canada is has far less gun related homicide than U.S

You know what, points for actually LISTENING to the evidence when you were proven wrong here. Most people ignore it in favor of what they WANT to believe, rather than what is supported by actual, peer reviewed, scientific data. The data says, in pretty black and white terms: The more law abiding, sane, good guys carrying guns, the less bad guys try to commit crimes, and the less crimes are successful. Kudos to you for accepting reality when it's shown to you.

During WWII Emperor Hirohito planned to attack America's continental soil after Pearl Harbour, but he quickly changed his mind after he realised that behind every blade of grass there would be an American citizen that owned a gun of some sort and would protect his nation to the death. Hirohito was more afraid of the Americans than he was of the government and military.

That's a great stamp, dude. And I'm glad I'm not in NY, Chicago or California. Texas is my kind of place. If a group of racists, gang-bangers, drunks, or crazies busting through my door to threaten me and my family while having a gun in my hand (lock, load n' ready for action), I'll use any improvised weapons (fire extinguisher nearby my hallway) that's effective to distract my targets, then I'll quickly pullout my firearm to shoot their asses dead in their tracks. After that, I take a couple snapshots for clues from my camera phone to see if those dead punks had guns or knives hidden in their pockets b4 calling the cops. Nuff said as always.

When you're taking guns away from the people, you're taking them away from the good guys, who will not use them unless absolutely necessary; whether you take guns away or not, they will still end up in the hands of a criminal, in which case it is up to the law abiding citizen to use a gun to protect the lives of other human beings.
Think about that, you Amendment-bashing liberals.
