Sky and Gabrielle again. Just an oekaki doodle...Sky's head angle is blaaargh, I've never been able to do it, so advice would be appreciated it anyone can give it to me. D:

the title reminds me of the verse in "on my own" from les miserables, which is one of my favourite musicals.

With the guys face, it looks like you tried to put in too much info there that you're used to doing when the face is front on. for this image anyway i think you need to remove some of the right side of his face that you wouldnt see. the only advice for this though is practise 
Anyways, doubt that helps, but its a great image. The horizon line is cool too

Reference is really important for painting, it really helps your knowledge of your subject! I wouldn't advise trying to draw from photographs/images all the time though, you can get used to drawing from something which is flat (the print) and so you dont get to fully understand the full volume/3D aspect to that object. This is why lifedrawing rocks 
Anyways, enough rant, your gallery already shows off some great stuff, im sure you already know that. Take care.

Ah...I see. That makes sense. I'm always worried about drawing from this angle, mainly because I have no idea how to do it correctly. I think the easiest thing would be if I had a reference to go off of, rather than just trying to imagine it. xD I would love to take some lifedrawing classes eventually, though (maybe in college *crosses fingers*.).

That upper face/neck angle you did with the guy is too perfect, that 's also hard to do for me..(I usually try to avoid that with upper perspective).

the only advice i would give is make the left side of her neck a little wider cause she seems kind of anorexic there, but thats just me. It seems fine cause your covering her face w/ the hair any ways so you cant really notice any really flaws in it.

Ha ha, well, she's actually supposed to be anorexic (kind of, it's hard for me to draw unaturally thin people) so her looking it might be a good thing. LOL. But, I see what you mean. Body type aside, her neck should probably be a little thicker anyway. Thanks.
