I always wanted to draw Wildcat similar to how Rafael Grampa drew Daredevil so now that I'm doing a daily sketchblog with my friend , I figured now was as good of a time as any. Plus, it was father's day and because I'm Mexican and so is my grandpa, we watched a lot of soccer and boxing. True story. That happened. You can check the sketchblog here: [link]Related content

Working on the mask is going to be the toughest part, but yeah. It's pretty much a lock at this point.

I've got to say I think this is my sole favourite rendering of this character ever. And this is a character I love so have spent a good deal of time reading and looking at over the years. The gritty Quitley-esque style you've been developing is perfect for you however this and the WW may be the finest peices in this style by you. The mask here is truly a genius way of streamlining the look and also giving it a tough, realistic, combatant look that keeps him feel like a scrapper not an out and out 'super'-hero.

Haha, thanks but if I were a reboot artist, you'd get a lot of things similar to Mary Marvel during Final Crisis. I don't know if you want that.
