Description Really happened today. She came out shortly afterwards, took the fly...and dropped it. My bathroom spider is officially dumber than a cat. Or plotting to take over the world, who knows.

I've seen spiders doing all kinds of weird stuff like that. My favourite was when one had apparently tried making a web between the leaves of my venus flytrap...

That sounds hilarious, a spider trying to save insects from the slow death inside a venus flytrap...

Or rather "hey that's a nice place for a net, It's very well positi~"*snap*

By the way I like laughing at people when they're yelling "A spider! AUGH! Shoo! Shoo! Did it get on me?!"

There needs to be a Darwin Award for this.
I laugh at them as well. To maximize the fun, get a spider and chase them around with it. Especially funny when it's a harvestman or a black piece of paper cut into the form of a spider.

You found the solution for her stupidity: she hangs around on /b/ when I'm not around.

Something around 3 cm with legs. It's most likely a Tegenaria atrica, so it will grow bigger.
I have seen silverfish in my apartment a few times as well, I find them rather fascinating. Fruit flies are annoying, but the spiders eat them.

Yeah the silverfish are interestign when they don't get into your way. But since i am a "night"eater = i liek to go to eat something before i go to sleep. I walk the stairs down, put lights on and alteast dozen of silverfish slither away. Ewww.

Eeeww silverfish... I hate those bastards. ItΒ΄s the only thing I didnΒ΄t miss as I moved out. The very picture disgusts me!
Spiders are good... never killed one on purpose in my life. I donΒ΄t move them out, usually, exept if they have a nest.

I have accidently killed spidies during my life... Or when my mother has ordered >_>' But that was when i was young. I see spiders as more of a help than pest. Especially in here Finalnd, where we don't have but one poisonous spider. And that be the one living in water Other spiders we have are about the size of a ant. Tiiiny little eggsacks and tiny little spiders.

But yeah, my house is infested with silverfish. There is either huge moisture problems, or the waterpipe changing we had in here bout 10 years ago brought them. Theres also the opinion of this foreing wood flooring we installed bout 5 to 7 years back.
Oh well. Few years more until i finish my studies and other things and move away.

I'm sure the spider just remembered that it had to do something first. You know, those important spider things that spiders have to do...
