I've never seen Lily, or the memory of her, represented like this. Very insightful. I have a feeling this is how Snape would dream. He wasn't exactly a "butterflies-and-sunny-meadows" kind of person.

I love how creepy he looks, with his ominous stance in the shadows betwixt the two lit sides.

He surely idealized her, not only after her death, but in life as well: their relationship is not 'even'... surely he doesn't seem to associate her to other human beings. From those glimpses of the dynamic between them we're given, I see a Snape that surely is pretty awkard in the whole 'friendship' affair and its meaning, and reluctant to admit that his beloved, idealized Lily is a true adolescent, a young woman with her flaws as well, just like evrybody else.
After her death, the feeling just intensifies.
I love the symbols, the composition, and the heavy Surrealist atmosphere.
Oh, and what a magnetic gaze he has.

This is fascinating. I see all kinds of symbols here that may or may not have been intentional on your part. (Is that a twisted body hidden under the red cloth representing Snape's eternal torment--hidden to all but himself?) Snape's eyes are haunting. Awesome job on the jaguar--I can almost hear a low rumble coming from his throat. Lovely composition.
