Not only are the villain girls pink, the villain guys seem to have a blue/green theme going (even Alex gets in on it!).

The large quantities of pink are especially ironic considering that Menardi and Karst aren't very "girly", but in their case I think it's just a Proxian thing
Personally, I always liked the duo from the first game best, since they were actually trying to save the world (although that doesn't excuse them from some of their actions), wheras Karst was obsessed with revenge (and Agatio was just tossed in to give her a partner). I'm looking forward to learning more about the new villains, though
