Description
So this is one of the bench concepts that I submitted.
The bench is actually at a school across the street from us. I needed something that showed the kind of stone I'm going to use.
I sculpted the horse in relief form on a 6x8 inch board in oil based clay.
The title of this piece will be "A Horse of Course"
It will be cast in concrete and measure approximately 20 inches high x 18 inches wide x 6 inches thick.
The concrete slabs will support the flagstone which will be 18 inches wide x approx. 4 feet long x approx. 3 inches thick.
It will be quite heavy to say the least.
I'll have re-bar cast in to concrete so it sticks out the bottom and out of the top. I'll hammer drill holes in the stone and cement and then fill the holes with industrial epoxy made for these kinds of applications. It's going to be a challenge, but fun as well.
