I've been really wanting to get back to working on my portraiture skills. I haven't had much time to work on anything just for fun. I've had this one laying around for a while now, just decided to post it. She's a tough likeness to nail for me. Maybe it's her weird.. I mean "unique" nose. I don't know...I'm planning on doing a series of all the different Buffy characters. I'll probably do Spike or Angel next. These are just practice, but I will be selling them as well. I've been really influenced by [link] Check out his stuff if you already haven't. We need to get Sean to join dA!

Hey, thanks. My secret for hair is definitely using white acrylic on a tiny brush to add highlights. It's kind of subtle when scanned, but you can see it more on the original. After I shade everything I also use a white gel-pen to add little highlights here and there. I've found that adding white in really helps to make everything pop.
