*lol* I still luv that friggin' show. I'm listening to the audio books, they're great to have when you're working on art... Do you go in for that sort of stuff?

Yeah, but I'm at the point now with audio books where I don't want to ruin the show with spoilers. I do like to listen to audio books and podcasts while I draw though. Ever listen to [link] ? It's really good.

Wow. I've never heard of that one, I'm definitely checking this out. I've only listened to Comic Geek Speak, which can get kind of tedious sometimes as I don't really collect many comics and I certainly don't care about continuity problems or company-wide events. *yawn*
Listening to the GoT audio books was bittersweet. The show isn't a pure recreation of the books and I found myself reflecting on the changes more than just enjoying the program. I found out about the Red Wedding by way of a character timeline map that I stumbled across online that had "X" next to characters on the point at which they died! On the other hand there are lot's of characters and events in the book that we never see. But I remember the scene in the show where Sam crawls out of that well and was immediately caught-- it took all of two minuted in the show, in the book George took nearly a whole chapter.
Since we won't be getting any more Game of Thrones on HBO for a while, I've been thinking about doing a series of illustrations, sorta like what you do but not a dead on likeness of the actors, more of an interpretation of the characters from the book while being vaguely aware of the show. I dunno, I love so many of the actors from this show it's insane. *lol*
