Sakura Micron pens for inking, colored with Prismacolor markers and colored pencils.

Here's another unsolicited suggestion.

Request 216 blanks and create a series of sequential Star Wars images that will constitute a full 24pp. comic story when complete.

Y'see, I figure it's very difficult to just sit down and do a full-on book (especially with your other professional obligations), but I figure the reference material is already there and by creating images that are sequentially connected--it'll only create more buzz in the collectors market for your work...

Anyway, food for thought.

That is a great albeit ambitious idea. I might just take some time out to do a series of sample sequential pages just to see if I can. I would probably do A Star Wars segment just so I could submit them to Darkhorse. I really do appreciate your suggestions though, they are always very well thought out. Thanks!

Thanks.

You know, I just realized that when you make a quantity request for the official cards you're subject to the prescribed completion date... So maybe that's not as viable as I'd initially thought.

I guess I was just trying to figure out a way you can keep doing exactly what you're doing but have the totality of the work reflect something of greater scope.

Looks good, Sip.

You added the airbrush in just the right amount of subtlety. It also has a nice, Struzan-ey tactile feel to it.

I'd love to see you tape three cards together and do a scenic shot--that would totally rock... For example: Luke using the force to raise his fighter out of the swamp while Yoda looks on--don't tell me that wouldn't ROCK!

Never... every time I start to feel good about my art I just go over to Drew Struzan's site to humble myself. Works every time! lol

Whoops. I wasn't meaning that personally. Han Solo's phrase came to mind when I saw this piece. Luke's expression reminds me of the last moment before the Death Star goes BOOM!

Oh yeah, I guess I just take everything personally! It might have something to do with me being a Virgo. I probably should have gotten the reference considering I've watched the movie a billion times.. brain fart.
