History:
His mother is Chinese, his father Japanese. His father worked overseas for a time, falling in love with his mother. Wishing to get away from the one child household laws in her homeland, the two both moved back to Japan. Takumi is one of two children, the other being his younger sister Suzume. Takumi and his sister attended schools in another prefecture until recently.

Last month, Takumi's mother fell ill to RMD. His father, wishing Takumi to be closer to home transferred him and his sister to Higashimori High School. While his mother has recently recovered from the latest bout of RMD, the family is very nervous that she may relapse.
