Description Kahlen(43 cm Narae)in a hand embroidered Robe a la Francaise I made for her

It's made of silk, hand embroidered with silk. She is wearing stays and paniers under it for the proper silhouette. I think it took about...20-25 hours. Long for such a small thing, but worth it because I do enjoy doing it <3

Wow...if I want to have something like this for my doll (she's 59cm BTW) How much will it cost me?

I really really love your work!

Hi! That kind of depends on if you want it to be embroidered or not, but think around 200-300 euro for the whole thing, including stays and paniers. If you're interested, just pm me <3

Stunning dress. The doll's face doesn't seem to go with it though. The dress is so pale and elegant (I can't imagine that much embroidery!) and yet her makeup is dark and dramatic.

Thank you! Haha and I know, but it's not so easy repainting these dolls and she has been done by a friend of mine who now no longer paints for others, so I didn't want to wipe it just for one photo!

I've only worked with fabric dolls that I make for their costumes, so that's well out of my realm. I've been trying to check out this era for a project, I hope I can do it half the justice

It is a wonderful era, I find it very inspiring, there's something fun about 18th century clothes, so many things are possible, the colors, prints, embroidery, metal thread embroidery..it's just so much fun, there's so much variety!

I had metallic fabric that was a bit over the top, and it just seemed like the perfect era to put it to good use. Knowing me there will be a fantasy twist.

jaw dropping beautiful!!! I've toyed with BJD gowns and threw my hands up in frustration. I thought because they were on smaller scale it would take less time... LOL!!! Incredible detail- inspires me to get off my ass today!

Thank you! I remember when I first made a dress for my BJD, I thought the same as you! But now I love it a lot more than making 'full size' outfits <3

Well maybe I should give it a try again!

Madame you should know I seldom give praise unless it is highly deserved. In this Case I doff My cap to you Madame and bow my head in respect. This little gown is sublime. It holds a elegance and rare beauty seldom found in Costumes made for people. The colours are as soft as a whisper and as weet as clover honey. the entire confection is a true wr of art and a fine example of he art of the couturier. Brava Madame for your exsquisite work.

It is truly deserved. I wish that My robe ala francaise had been this fresh and lovely. I created one in ple pink for My Wife. It was lovely of course but it was in the fashion of the 1770's highly decorated and somewhat over embelished. yours has a crisp and innocent frhness to it like a newly opened lily

We have an embroidery machine that we just got back from the shop not too long ago. I'd love to use it for doll stuff!

You should! embroidery looks really cute on doll clothes I think, and it's so much fun to see your own embroidery on your doll, machine or otherwise!
