Kron looked like Aladar, except for the "bump" on his nose if that's where it was. The two were also opposites. Personality wise, that is. Kron didn't care about those weaker then him. He threatened anyone who disagreed with his decisions, like Aladar, for instance-even though partly because Aladar may have used foolhardy choices of words in attempting to convince him to listen to reason and recognize empathy. Kron threatened, however, to kill him if he were to "ever interfere again". He also once rudely shoved Aladar physically upon encountering him, yelling out at him the words "stay out of my way"; brutally shoved him, Eema and Bayleene, along with any other member of his (at the time Kron's) herd that tried to get a drink once Aladar discovered that a way to get water from the "dried up lake bed", selfishly drinking it all up for himself-all the while secretly furious that it was Aladar's discovery and not his own because of how such a find would have enhanced his authority; threatened Aladar's life as stated earlier; left his own friend Bruton behind in the process while accusing him of leading the two creatures called the savage carnotaurs to them (Kron and what had been serving as "his herd" at the time) while behaving as if it could have been prevented while suggesting that Bruton could maybe "feed them" with his (Bruton's) own hide while also behaving as if it could have been prevented (the carnotaur discovery) when it was not Bruton's decision to either "take a scout and check the entire perimeter" or "shove and push anyone for water" but Kron's decision, in fact; only saved Neera and the two iguanodon orphan twins in a deleted "alternative scene" from a group of raptors most likely out of fear of loosing credibility upon his herd noticing Neera and the two iguanodon orphan twins being not around and holding him (Kron) responsible for especially Neera's absence; tried to get his entire herd up a physical landslide of rock while refusing to take Neera's suggestion of finding a way around it; refused to listen to reason upon Aladar's attempting to convince him that a sheer drop was on the other side of the cliff slides; attempted to kill Aladar for continuing to defy him; lashed out physically at Aladar in the middle of their fight that it was not Aladar's decision to pick with Kron but Kron's decision to pick with Aladar by proceeding to use one of his "thumb-spike handed arm like legs" to scatter some grey gravel-like dirt into Aladar's eyes to temporarily stun him; used one of his thumb-spike to open a deep cut in Aladar's chest; knocked him to the ground with his tail; and was not only about to but also would have managed to kill Aladar but then Neera intervened to tell him (Kron) to "knock it off" by procceding to have rammed him and knocked him off his feet. It all happened in front of every single other member of what would soon be "Kron's herd once" only to have Aladar take Kron's place as its leader. Kron then brought his death by the survivor of the two carnotaurs to and on himself when he continued to refuse to follow Aladar and instead decided to climb the wall himself out of confidence that upon doing so, he'll find the "Dinosaur Nesting Grounds of the Valley of Old Gotoma" as they are called in a "deleted scene" and ensure that what was once called "his herd" would regret following Aladar and return to him (Kron) only for it all instead to have confirmed that Aladar was right in saying there was a sheer drop below on the other side of the cliff slide in between where Kron was standing and the geographical wall behind the "valley" and led to his death.

For some reason I got the impression that Kron was a good leader during more peaceful times, but with the stress of migration he just snapped. His trusted "lieutenants" were highly loyal, and it was only after Aladar saved one of their lives that they were willing to help him. You don't get that kind of loyalty by always being cruel.
Aladar was strange, different, and as such I think Kron feared him, which drove him to hate and outcast Aladar.
But that's just my opinion after seeing the show many, many years ago! I love the way you've portrayed him here and recognized him instantly.
