In fact the lineage of the genus Otodus is divided into three subgenera : Otodus (Otodus), Otodus (Carcharocles), and Otodus (Megaselachus). Otodus megalodon would belong to the subgenus Megaselachus (subgenus that includes the Neogene - Miocene/Pliocene - species), so the most correct way to write its name should be Otodus (Megaselachus) megalodon, while Otodus obliquus is Otodus (Otodus) obliquus.

Mais même l'ammonite est approximativement à l'échelle, car il s'agit de l'énorme Parapuzosia seppenradensis dont le diamètre est estimé à environ 2-3 mètres. C'est la géante des ammonites !

I know a lot of people like to draw marine creatures to compare their sizes but honestly I wasn't inspired by someone in particular. It's... a... coincidence if I drew most of the Chased by Sea Monsters animals
