Ariel, Disney's Little Mermaid has been reborn in a Steampunk world.

Here mermaids are just another tribe of Humans who use steampunk technology to live under the sea. She wears a special artificial gill to breathe under the water, night vision goggles to enable her to see, and a removable mechanical tail to provide propulsion while wristbands with artificial fins help with steering.

Of course she has stuck with her trademark sea-shells and still enjoys taking time out to comb her waist-length red hair.
