A heartbreaking scene from Chapter 35 of Chasing the Sun fanfic by amazing Loten , who keeps magically turning my lunch-hour reading into such a delight! Awful quality, I know, it's just a sketch that I messed with in PS afterwords, but very emotional, nonetheless."...Severus?" she asked uncertainly, still not used to using his first name.
He looked at her, and she saw with surprise that his eyes were glistening. "I'm free," he whispered, his voice shaking slightly as he blinked rapidly once or twice. He glanced down at his arm again, then looked back at her and repeated hoarsely, "I'm finally free..." before hastily looking away and swiping at his eyes almost angrily as his hair fell across his face.

I would love to see the chunk of skin with the dark mark while its being removed, i know its gross in a way, but thats the point really, to see him being free of the mark itself, it's wonderful. and also the expression of each of their faces, including ron and harry of course, i would've been fantastic. anyway, i saw your drawing way before i had read the chapter itself, but after i read the chapter 35, i went looking again. great job!

I love the tinkering you did in PS though- the sort of grungy, dated "wallpaper" is just perfect.. totally what I would expect to find in Spinner's End.
I stared at the hand, by the way.. it took me a minute, but I think the thumb is backwards? should it be closest to the right border of the image? *scratching head* dunno.
