Niiice! Good contrast using saturated gold and bleak background. Tho the birds is coloured in warm palette making it a bit jumpy, separated from the whole image? If that's what you want that's fine.

Composition very creative. I like that

Crazy awesome concept!  That looks so cool...I've read the description but I still can't help but imagine the bird symbolizing some kind of secret or lie the character let loose, and he's staring in horror at the consequences and ruin that befell him because of it...looks like regret.

I like the idea and execution of this piece. The gloomy mood of this painting is really brought out by the muted colours and contrasts. The bird looks beautiful and I really like the sparkle effects as well as the lighting from the window. It gives a sort of magical vibe

This drawing is very curious and well worked.

From a very well executed point of view to its colors and lighting and very dark shades and dyes somewhat tetricos, going from multiple details in it and ending in a great character design that is the center of focus, fully expressive and his face and with multiple details throughout his body.

In particular, that the part of the torso is totally a cage and that it is shown freeing a bird from "Twitter in SSJ" and also, the edges of the drawing give the sensation of being an image in a parchment xD

In summary, I like this drawing. Too. You are improving too much and you are demonstrating this with actions! 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Wow, I love the overall theme and mood of this piece, the concept of having a birdcage as the character's torso is brilliant, and to have to have a bird inside the cage for him to live is clever. I love the color palette of this, it perfectly fits the mood, and helps set the theme just by the soft tones of it. The bluish hues and the way that this is unsaturated is really amazing in helping deliver the "Story" behind the artwork, the soft unsaturated colors seemingly narrating a simple story of someone just dying, literally and figuratively. with some shades of yellow to break apart the softness of the tones, giving the eye something to focus on. The lack of hope in his eyes, its "lifelessness" just helps to even further project on how important the bird is to him. The very subtle particle trail effects left behind by the bird from his chest, sort of giving it a "line" effect, as if he's linked to it. Even the way he's slumped over, the angle emphasizing how thin he is, giving him a "puppet-like" stature. Even the rough textures of the background give of a sort of "rotten"and "worn off" vibe.

If I have any tips, perhaps blur the areas around the edge, the center clearest being the character's head and chest area and the bird. I can see the foreground boxes to give it some dimension, but maybe the blur could give it some depth to the piece, helping the eye to focus on the more important subjects.

warning i'm not very good at drawing and am still fairly new to this kind of thing^^

I really love the general mood of this painting. it's fairly monochromatic, yet there are still some colorful bits that pop but don't take away the somber mood of the painting.
the anatomy of the automaton is quite good and i really get the feeling that this being is alive, while at the same time not.
it personally gives me the feeling of things like self-sacrifice, being unhappy at the expense of others happiness, and letting go of your feelings.
the lighting is honestly a bit minimalistic for me, but it plays to the image well, and gives it a somber feel, as well as a lonely one.
the same goes for the background, kinda minimalist, but it works for the drawing and gives it a nice sad feel.
i also like that the foreground has little bit more detail than the background.

however if he can feel emotions, I would have put a teardrop or something on his face, but that's just my personal preference.
and while i get that this is supposed just have a certain feel, i think it would've made more sense have some kind of hint that someone or something, that released the bird, because it doesn't seem like the bird is supposed to escape.

but in general, I really love this piece^^

Mm, for the colours I think overall is already very good, but maybe a little bit more light and saturation on the colour of the bird could help to bring it more into focus? The bird's a little unnoticeable. Unless that was the intention.

Awesome Piece! the few bits of warm color is well used to contrast the cold colors, the only real problem I have is the lighting, but even then it's really small thing that, due to the very well done art probably wouldn't be noticed right out of the gate. The painted look is amazing and gives it a real feeling to it. The small details are kind of hard to notice (like the small "Sparkles" trailing behind the bird) but when you do notice them, it shows real dedication the the piece. Over all wonderful piece.
