I love it. I have a white samurai in the works as well. Great job, not too little, not too much. Just right.Β

I'm not so much a fan of the snowflake piece on the helmet, it looks a little too cumbersome compared to the rest of the armor, but otherwise excellent job, looks like something you might see in a movie.

Huh, googled samurai armor and you're correct. I think this kabuto might just need some getting used to for me.

That makes a lot of sense. Paints a big target on themselves if it's something that obvious, but still makes sense.

Ah, the barn owl, perhaps--because of the black eyes?

That's really cool. Did you use candles or white sticks to make up the armour (among other things)? That's really something.

Oh that's awesome, so is it computer programming, as in you telling the computer to make a certain shape and like, if it moves do a certain thing and such? Or is it like an animation studio on a computer to make it move and such? Lol, curious how it works

LostNorthern In reply to cowboysandaliens [2014-01-25 20:29:20 +0000 UTC]

we have programs like Maya who is a 3d animation software and since its really hard to explain i'll give you a link you'll understands. ( www.autodesk.com/products/auto… ) and Β here is the demo of my college vimeo.com/66421883 . I'm obviously not part of this video because i'm at my first year but its a 3 year program so it goes pretty fast. Since my programme isn't about programming we're not learning it. Like I said it's 2d and 3d animation so we learn modelization, rigging ( the rig is basically the skeleton of any character in 3d) so ''riggers'' make a skeleton and attach the character to the skeleton and create rigs so that when the animator works on the character it becomes easy for them to animate quickly. We also learn animation, www.youtube.com/watch?v=hldCtj… , texturing ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGyjrT… ) , 3d sculpting www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJpRyO… , lighting www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ah8rF… Β and concept art, photography, controlling a camera irl and in 3d , etc. It,s very technical XP

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

cowboysandaliens In reply to LostNorthern [2014-01-25 23:58:42 +0000 UTC]

That's pretty cool, I'll have to look at the links later, but thanks!

So do you want to be an animator for a career?Β

LostNorthern In reply to cowboysandaliens [2014-01-26 16:59:19 +0000 UTC]

i would like to specialize in animation and concept art but sculpting seems really fun sooo i look forward to that.

Ah, I'm looking into web development programming and possibly a game designer

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LostNorthern In reply to cowboysandaliens [2014-01-29 01:04:14 +0000 UTC]

did you watch the new episode of mythbuster: star wars , it was pretty good as always. ALso, did you watch the links i sent . You should also consider that you can't just find a class about game design ( you probably can lol) but i will learn it in second year i think.

cowboysandaliens In reply to LostNorthern [2014-01-29 04:40:28 +0000 UTC]

No not yet but I wanna see it now, lol

And no not yet, lol

Well I'm already learning web development now. (I'm homeschooled, it's awesome), and I know a place where I can learn basic game programming, like, 2D games, not even 3D as far as I know, lol

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LostNorthern In reply to cowboysandaliens [2014-01-29 12:04:32 +0000 UTC]

weeeell i highly suggest for you to just go to college/university to learn the whole thing because i don't know how you'll get a job in the gaming industry.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

cowboysandaliens In reply to LostNorthern [2014-01-29 19:20:41 +0000 UTC]

Lol, I'm more interested in either web development or mechanics design, I'm currently in a robotics team and that has sparked my interest in mechanics and such, also I learned that I'm going to be the main programmer for the team next year so I am currently learning the programming language C, Objective-C, and C++, because the language to program the robot is called ROBOTC (they were really creative with the name, weren't they? ), so yeah, I'm interested a lot in programming now

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LostNorthern In reply to cowboysandaliens [2014-01-30 00:59:13 +0000 UTC]

well...you should consider getting into the gaming industry...we need programmers

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

cowboysandaliens In reply to LostNorthern [2014-01-30 03:33:23 +0000 UTC]

Well, I'll consider, lol, I'm currently really good at web development though and still learning, I haven't gotten into much interactive web development but I'm getting there, I'm currently focusing on finishing web fundamentals and building blocks for web development so I can turn my focus on learning C-related languages, after I'm done with that I'll probably practice and such then I'll probably learn interactivity in web development, then I'll see what I come up with next, just have to see, lol, I do want to at some point release some kinda app onto the Apple App Store (and Android when I learn Java), and possibly make some money for more apps and maybe classes to learn Java, but yeah I'll probably experiment with Apple app design while learning C, so that might push me in the direction of game development, but yeah, might for a hobby, lol

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LostNorthern In reply to cowboysandaliens [2014-01-31 00:50:19 +0000 UTC]

totally they need guys like you because of next-gen and their plans of more interactivity...on tablets and all

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

cowboysandaliens In reply to LostNorthern [2014-01-31 03:02:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, or I might just be a freelance programmer, lol, for hire! I don't know, I do want to program though, cause it's really fun, and it's good for learning, and I got books from the library this week about Objective-C and C++, which I have absolutely no idea what C++ is for but it's C-based, so it'll help with ROBOTC, lol, I would like to make some apps but after seeing how much it is to put out on the market (99 bucks, whew!), I don't know, I can't afford that, cause with the money I'll make off of it (like, probably close to 20 bucks cause it won't be popular for probably a year or two) then it wouldn't be worth it cause I wouldn't be able to release even better apps for several years even with the money I make off of the app, unless I make it really good it won't do much good as an investment unless I can get like, sponsors or something which I would NOT get cause I don't think many people would be willing to fund a project that there's a 50% chance that the project could totally end in an epic fail, lol

Yeah it was pretty cool, it was taken down by the bullet though, surprisingly pretty good resistance against the arrows though, the weapons were good resistance too... I need to build a suit of armor like that
