I have always wanted to try liquid Sculpey. I haven't really had good results from Mod Podge as a sealer.

i bought some liquid sculpey and have only used it once, i think i was too careful with it and didn't get the ooey-gooey result i had hoped for. maybe sometime in the future i will be more daring with it.

These are adorable! Impressively sculpted, too.
I'm curious about whether or not the magnet and earrings are related (other than being a cheesecake and slices). Can you use the magnet to hold the earrings? Are they intended to go together in some way? The fact that you offered the magnet alone to someone in the comments suggests that they're probably not, but it would be neat if they were.

I actually wasn't sure whether the slices were from the whole cheesecake or whether they were just roughly the same size (I imagine this would be clearer "in person"). Without having tried anything similar myself, I couldn't be sure if it would be easier to make the whole thing and literally slice it, or to make the bits separately and avoid the risk of smooshing something.
It seems like there are quite a few things you could do if you were aiming to make all three bits into jewellery pieces. Depending on the size, I imagine the cake itself could even make a ring or a broach.

there's tricks that i'm learning that make slicing pieces easier (cakes and pies) -- freezing the clay before slicing it helps avoid smooshing it, as well as having a blade that's at least 2-3 inches long to make the cut in one go instead of having to turn the cake/pie and try to make the cut even from the other side. i'm still pretty new to polymer clay work but i enjoy it a lot.

The magnet is one-of-a-kind. I can save it for you if you want, you have called it first.

tiny things are cute but though they're hard to make, they're worth it.

Agreed. XD I never tried making tiny things but I can see that they're hard to make.

They're so cute it's hard to take my eyes off them. Why does polymer clay look so delicious?

I'm working on it. I might have to go in on one with my mom so we both can sell our crafts.

I'm glad you like them! The middle layer had to have a little color, seeing as this wasn't a typical snowy-white New York style cheesecake (thanks for that, by the way). I'm always on the hunt for more sweet treats to turn into jewelry and charms and magnets -- the more unique, the better.
