Today has been the first time in what feels like an eternity that we've had sunshine. We headed to a local park to see if spring had sprung yet .. and sure enough there were a fair number of crocuses/croci, some snowdrops and the sign of daffodils.. the daffs should be great in a few weeks. Without wishing to tempt fate - I'm kinda hoping that spring has finally arrived and the sun will show up a bit more regularly.

Wow.... Pretty and Purple!!!! I absolutely love 'em! The flora and fauna from where I'm from isn't as impressive as yours.. Seeing as we only have two seasons (warm 'n' wet and Warmer 'n' wetter) I hope someday I can visit...

Aw thanks. While I love the flora and fauna of the UK, your area of the world has loads of gorgeous flowering plants. I don't think I'd grow tired of finding interesting flowers to photograph - a quick google says that the Philippines have "over 8000 species of flowering plants, 1000 kinds of ferns and 800 species of orchids" - orchids! ORCHIDS!?! Orchids are gorgeous!

You have amazing animal life over there too! The butterflies alone would keep me entertained for ageeeees. And Tarsiers.. I'm not sure I'd call them cute, but some might

So, I think you have your fair share of natural "wonders"- ours are just different - you should get out there and get snapping

Not quite. I live in the suburbs. Where the plants look all the same and the only birds are those little "mayas" and the only other wildlife are cats and dogs... Urgh.. boring... Our country has beautiful forest and reefs... sure, but I live in boring land...

Aww, the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence

I bet even in the suburbs you could still find insects and creepy crawlies that'd be strange and bizarre to me. Or even garden plants. Point is, there are interesting things all around us all - they're only boring if you look at them that way .. take the crocuses in my image for example, they're really common over here, I still like them as a harbinger of spring
